Say goodbye to the high part of the walk here, and decide too if you want a lengthy but worthwhile detour to Stone Arthur. By the way, it's a fell and not a barbaric torture game for anyone called Arthur. Whatever you choose you have a very pretty section to come.

Either can be walked as part of the Fairfield Horseshoe or as a shorter walk taking in Stone Arthur. Views are beautiful looking down into Grasmere or towards lake Windermere.
