Go Go Beets is my favourite cafe in the whole of Edinburgh! I don’t live in Portobello so I make a special trip there whenever I want to visit. The coffee is so good and every food item I’ve ordered has been completely delicious, the Rock and Roll hot filled roll especially. The owners are absolutely lovely people with great chat too.

A vegetarian takeaway shop in the centre of Portobello with a good variety of options. I tried the cream cheese and kimchi sandwich and the spicy lentil soup with croutons, both were excellent, especially the soup. Also a decaff latte which had a good strong rounded flavour. Highly recommended. It has one small table where I was lucky to nab a seat for a little while. It seems like a friendly place

Lovely vegan takeaway, the owners are lovely, and the cakes and sweet treats always look scrumptious. They do soup and tasty salad boxes and the vibes are good!

I was welcomed like a friend into the sweet bosom of gogo beets, and not the heinous southerner I am.I ordered the haggis sandwich and I gobbled it down like a hungry gremlin and wished for more. However, to order another seemed excessive. So I settled on promising myself I'd come back another day to chase the vegan haggis.
