They poached my assistant after I had funded his tuition fees for a degree in architecture at the london South bank University including his travel cost, I also trained him...he achieved a first...I am now paying back the loan I took out monthly and he doesn't even work for me!!! When I approached HH they said sorry but we we will not pay you any contribution....

If I could give Hopkins zero stars, I absolutely would. The build quality is awful and the customer care is just as bad. I believed that paying a premium for a new build would result in better quality but it could not be further from the reality. I moved in over 24 months ago and I am still waiting for explanations to the dismal customer care and remedial works and am unfortunately waiting for further works to be completed. I would avoid at all costs.

Brought a hopkins home in 2016. We are still waiting for our house to be finished. Appalling customer service! Totally feel that we were missold our house. Would never recommend Hopkins to anyone. Please do not spend your well earned cash on these houses! They sell you a dream and leave you with a nightmare.

Hopkins moved us into an unfinished house, which cost us around £4000 in fees that would have otherwise been avoided if they had taken the time to finish the house and complete to the proper standard. The other four properties in our phase of the development completed a month later, and we were essentially moved onto an active building site with work ongoing on both our home and the others at the same time. Contractors were letting themselves onto our property without permission and using our utilities. They dug up our lawn without asking and without notice. Hopkins refuse to acknowledge any of this and compensate us fairly. The house was completed to a diabolical standard, with us suffering a leak from our shower (which is installed incorrectly to begin with). After the leak we were stuck 6 weeks without a working shower cubicle in the middle of winter. Hopkins did not care about this, just giving excuse after excuse as to why it couldn't be sorted. It took nearly 10 months to complete the initial snagging list submitted when we moved in, and we still have ongoing issues that are yet to be resolved. We are not the only one to experience issues on our development - neighbours have also experienced extensive issues and have had to involve the NHBC to attempt to rectify their problems. This company only cares about your money - once they have it, they no longer care about your home, and you have have to fight toeven get them to do the bare minimum to address any issues that arise. Save yourself time, money and stress and do not buy a home from this company.

AVOID! Do not waste your money. Shocking customer aftercare. I have outstanding issues which have not been addressed. Constantly chasing Hopkins for time lines, dates. They cannot give me anything. All I'm told is that they are chasing issues and it takes time.My house doesn't meet building regs. NHBC are now involved. It's mentally and emotionally draining dealing with this company.The Estate has been left unfinished. The management company refuse to take the site on until Hopkins have completed remedial works. Hopkins have left the residents in an appalling way.Zero stars!

Now having read so many poor reviews regarding Hopkins Homes, we have decided to look at the general housing stock and for a better build. One area we did notice, that for us, they're the first housebuilder to install wooden windows. We were not happy about this and believe that new homes can be exempt of VAT for such as UPVC double glazing, so why wouldn't you put these windows in. I originally gave Hopkins Homes 5 stars. Like any good cowboy builder, they give all the swagger up front, started off ok, but when things go wrong after 6 months, they try their hardest to avoid and deflect any responsibility. If you value your money self build or something, they are no better than the likes of Bovis and Taylor Wimpy.Avoid at all cost.

Poorly built, low quality homes. I am unfortunate enough to live in a Hopkins Homes new build, and I can honestly say, it is the most bodged up poorly built home I have ever lived in. From the ground up, there is problems with my property, but there is no customer service to rectify issues. As for repairs under defects, they will send the boss of the sub contractors round, who do not want to admit faults with their work as they will have to repair the issues at cost to them, and Hopkins are aware of the issue, but don't care as long as the sub contractors are the cheapest available. Also, they will build homes without all the correct permissions in place, which is documented on the internet, causing people to be ripped off! I bet Mr Jamie Hopkins would never live in one of these property's they have built in Stoke Holy Cross. I would recommend looking into a Norfolk Homes built property as the quality of materials and workmanship is in a different class compared to this firm. After a visit to their site less than two miles away, I was amazed at the difference between the two. Be very aware when it comes to Hopkins Homes.

Good architecture but poor site layout, houses very overlooked, access road so narrow the bin lorry struggles to get round and when it does its less than 2m from the main bedroom window (can you imagine the noise every Wednesday morning at 6 am!). No visitor parking at all for the entire development so visitors and delivery vans are constantly blocking access. Finally, the central landscaped green/play area has been sunken down which looks very nice but has no proper drainage so its been a bog since early December.

House is lovely & no real snags but standard of the rest of the site is awful. Pavements not finished nearly 4 years after buying the house, fencing falling apart, trees not replaced when broken years ago, grass sporadically cut and huge grass areas left to grow into just weeds.The houses themselves are good quality. But the aftercare they claim on their website is just non existent and really, really poor.
