I have been studying with Jens for close to two years. I have very much enjoyed the classes on B1 and B2 levels. Thanks to the small groups format, constant feedback as well as fantastic co-students, my level has steadily progressed. I'm looking forward to advancing my German skills further!

Jens is a fantastic teacher and creates a fun and engaging atmosphere in his lessons. I feel like I made significant progress and had a much better grasp of grammar and vocabulary than before. I highly recommend for anyone looking to learn or improve their German!

I studied at the Olesen Tuition for approximately 2 years after starting out learning German in evening classes at a University and I found the difference in teaching significant. I worked with 3 or 4 different teachers in my time there ( including Jens himself) and I found them to be all excellent & experienced native teachers. They were very friendly and had really good teaching methods and explained things very well.The class setting was also perfect for me as there were maximum 5 -6 students in each class. You never felt left out amongst the other learners.Jens has been really encouraging in my language journey even when I have felt inadequate. I only went away for a temporary hiatus but I will definitely return. I highly recommended this independent language school.

Jens is an excellent Tutor. i recently passed my A1 Goethe Exam with a great score. All the credit to Jens. :)

Jens is an outstanding German teacher. Combining a variety of teaching material, a mixture of reading, writing and speaking, all with a strong focus on grammar while remaining fun! Recommended for anyone who needs to speak German in their job, as well as casual/beginner learners.

I highly recommend Jens Olesen as a German tutor. Our son Paul has been tutored by Jens for both his GCSE and A level in German. Jens has done a stellar job preparing Paul, enabling him to achieve A* grades in both exams. While being methodical and clear in the way he teaches, Jens also makes lessons a lot of fun which is so important. Paul always looked forward to his Sunday evening Skype call with Jens. I learned German with Jens as an absolute beginner with zero knowledge and I was able to pass my A1 certificate at the Goethe Institut with a “Sehr Gut” result after around 45 hours of lessons plus homework!The focus on grammar especially allowed me to confidently form sentences myself, and I genuinely enjoyed our classes. I only stopped because of other commitments after moving, but I do not hesitate recommending Jens to anyone seeking to learn German properly.

Jens is a wonderful German teacher, he's very good at explaining things in a straightforward way and the small class sizes mean you get a lot out of each session. I really enjoyed his B1 course (and I passed my B1 exam at the end of it!)

Amazing German lessons with a perfect mix of speaking and grammar. I had 6 months of private tuition with Britta, an amazing teacher, and my German improved a lot as a result. I would especially recommend private lessons if your language needs don't quite fit into a class. Thanks Olesen Tuition!

I have been studying with Olesen for around a year. I did A Level German about 15 years ago, but the tuition means that I can communicate in German better than ever. The lessons (with both Jens and Andrea) are a good mix of discussion, presentations and exercises. It is especially helpful to get specific language tips from native speakers, because I find that my most frequent errors are translating directly from English into German (rather than thinking about idioms). The tuition has been very helpful for my work (where I speak with clients in Germany and Switzerland often). Recommend!
