Interesting museum and art gallery. Lovely cafe with great scones and coffee served by very helpful staff. Beautiful grounds to explore and free parking.

Amazing place for walks, picnics, playpark and splashpad. Lovely big lake with birds. Didn't go inside as there was a wedding taking place. Visitor centre & museum has a small charge to enter. Must visit again to spend more time there

Nice parkland, but we went to see the art and museum. but alas it was closed, even though posted as open. Apparently all the artifacts are being moved to a new location! So a good idea to check before you go to avoid disappointment.

Fantastic day out with the kids. Beautiful grounds with a lovely large lake. The mini trains were affordable and a nice surprise and loved the museum which was also very affordable. Brilliant and helpful staff all ground. Its a great day out for a picnic with the family.

Lovely walks around the grounds and lake. Miniature railway ride. Museum and art gallery in main house accessed with small admission fee. Cafe, also located in the main house, with free access, was excellent. Had afternoon tea. Food and service were both amazing.

Fantastic place to go. Lovely castle and has little shop and cafe inside. Tickets are £2.30 each a adult and kids under 16 free to look at the museum and art not much my thing but really enjoyed it. There is a lovely large lake to walk around and feed ducks. There a little kids train £2 each for kids and parents. If you walk futher up past the castle there is a lovely restustant up there with kids park and little water play area for kids to play in summer. Staff was lovely and very helpful. Parking is free and alot of it but all spaces out in diffrent areas.

Absolutely lovely grounds. Would go again. Free entry to the grounds. Nominal fee for the entry to the museum. £2.30 an adult I think and kids were free. Water splash park which I didn't take a picture of as full of children. And cafe by the side. Well worth it.

Beautiful castle and surrounding park. Lovely trails and lake. Excellent place to spend weekend with your family. Some of the things to do are walk alongside the lake, hop on the mini train, visit the museum and art gallery. Explore the trails and listen to some live music. Definitely recommended.

Cyfarthfa Castle Museum and Art Gallery
Castle, lake, trail walk, playground for kids and cafe are all well maintained and looks great. Perfect for a day trip from Cardiff. Train service from Cardiff is frequent and hopefully soon will get the new tram trains as well. Its about 25 minutes walk from the station. The cafe has good views and has clean toilet facilities.
