Baglan Bay Beach

A fantastic place for rare birds further along up the Neath Estuary. We spotted a Curlew, but fail to photograph him. There were amazing views of Swansea Marina in the distance and the University was prominent. We had planned to cross the Neath Estuary and head for Brunel Tower and onwards to the Marina, but the weather defeated us. Would recommend this walk.

Excellent streach of beach that bends and goes to briton ferry,then walk back over the sand dunes,there used to be industry there (i think BP) But its gone,so nature and wildlife have reclaimed it.6am i would take the dog and if its a sunny day the views are stunning.Also down this part of the beach you are allowed to walk your dog/s.If you rise early eg 6am you will probably be the only one on this part of the beach
