Hendersyde Farm Holiday Cottages

We’ve stayed at Hendersyde several times and it’s been a great experience for our family. The cottages are very well equipped, clean and cosy and Sue is a very welcoming host. Great location to explore Kelso and the Borders.

Cosy cottages with everything we needed, and more, in a scenic location on a farm. A very obliging and friendly host made our stay perfect. There is lots to do in the area and Kelso is close by for supermarkets and other shopping.

We had a relaxing stay in one of the farm cottages with our dog. The cottage has everything you need and Sue is on hand with lots of suggestions for things to do and places to eat. We saw the Beirhope Alpacas and also visited local craft and sewing shops Wonky Giraffe and The Crafty Creative to keep our fingers busy as we chilled out in the comfy cottage and well kept garden which overlooks the Tweed valley. Can't recommend Hendersyde enough as a great base to explore the borders and as a quiet bolthole to get away from it all!

First time at Millsyde after years at West cottage. There are more of us and we thoroughly relished the extra room. Such a comfortable, spacious well equipped holiday home lacking nothing. Wonderful welcome as usual from Sue whose shortbread just HAS to be tasted. We love Kelso and surroundings , been visiting every autumn for 27 years, will be back.

Amazing place, brilliant owners and showcasing the character of the area. All the ingredients you need to create a truly fantastic holiday. Our friends loved it, our dog loved it, we loved it!The walks are great and there are numerous choices of where to go and where to visit. A perfect ABC menu.(Yes, I know it sounds corny but it’s still true)

We enjoyed a wonderful and relaxing short beak with our dogs. The cottage was immaculate, well appointed and all we had to get was food and drink. Kelso and a supermarket is a short drive away. It is like having a real home from home and so cosy. A real find and a special place. The owners are there for any questions but leave you alone. We had incredible November sunrises.

Highly recommended! We have just returned from our 3rd stay at Hendersyde, the second of 2023! We stayed in Southsyde cottage for the first time and were not disappointed. The uninterrupted views were stunning, the cottage cosy and well equipped. We loved the open fire for lovely cosy evenings. We were blessed with fabulous weather which enabled us to enjoy the many beautiful walks around the farm, wellies or hike boots on. We even saw a kingfisher on Eden Water! We alap enjoyed a wander around Kelso with its independent and high street shops, topped off with a beautiful walk along the Tweed and an absolutely fabulous lunch at The Cobbles. The food at The Cobbles was fantastic - the home made pie so delicious that we even asked if they can be bought to take away! The amazing gelato from Becatelli’s over the road was the perfect end to the meal.When we came up to Hendersyde in April, Sue recommended a trip to Beirhope Alpacas but we ran out of time. This week, however, we booked a Meet-a-Paca session which was brilliant! Lynne was a superb host and our walk was delightful.Finally, our hosts. What can we say. Sue is the perfect host. There when you need her but there’s plenty of privacy. Her recommendations are spot on and her welcome so warm. We are already working out when we can return… thank you, Sue and Hendersyde.

This must be our third visit to Millsyde cottage at Hendersyde Farm and it never fails to delight. The cottage is in a fantastic position and contains everything, and more, that you could require for a lovely comfortable stay. On your arrival, you'll find everything ready to make a cuppa and enjoy a delicious rockcake. There is always plenty within the cottage to keep us occupied but most of the time we are out enjoying the local Borders using the host of leaflets in the cottage. All this is enhanced by Sue's friendly helpful nature. We will undoubtedly be back again before too long.

Outstanding self-catering accomodation set in beautiful surroundings and close to the town of Kelso. Ideally situated to travel around local area and explore the wonders of the Scottish Borders and Northumberland. Sue provides a very warm welcome to the cottage which has everything you can possibly think of to hand - including fundamental kitchen items and most importantly freshly made rock cakes and fresh milk - delicious!!!!

We had a wonderful stay at the Millsyde. Fantastic house, all comforts available, clean and cosy, a great place to relax and enjoy your vacation. And, last but certainly nog least, a helpfull and warm host.
