Bisley Marquees and Hire

Last year we were planning our marquee wedding with Bisley and we had agreed on a price. We booked a date in mid-June and for several months my now wife coordinated with them closely about the wedding details and they seemed accommodating enough.They then came out to do a site visit and made a fuss about the lane that gave access to the field where the marquee was needed. Despite their earlier promises of being able to adapt to and overcome any difficulty, getting their vehicle down the lane (a lane used by tractors with ease) would be a bridge too far and they added £4200 to the quote. When we questioned this amount they were displeased and then informed us that our date was now forfeit and given to another couple.The amount of stress that this caused us was immeasurable. At what is supposed to be a time of nervous anticipation and excited planning, we were thrown into the gutter by a greedy company who did not even have the common courtesy to offer a reasonable explanation or an alternative option.My wife was trying to juggle her role as a junior doctor alongside the stress caused by Bisley Marquees. This was not merely poor customer service, this was a direct assault on the mental wellbeing of my wife and I hope that their greed is not allowed to ruin another couple's happy experience.

Bisley were absolutely wonderful for our event marquee hire. The team were so friendly and helpful, always responded quickly and went above and beyond to help us out with various last minute requests. We would definitely recommend/use them again.

Absolutely disgusting experience dealing with this company. A rude entitled owner who ultimately has no care or regard for customer experience and service.My husband and I used this company for our summer '23 wedding and had the worst experience. A few hours before our event, we were disappointed by a number of things with the build of the structure. These were a variety of health and safety issues as well as issues with the aesthetic.When we first visited a few hours before our event to ensure everything was in order, the marquee was littered with leaves and mud from outside and looked filthy. At this point no other supplier had been inside the marquee apart from our wonderful florist who was appaled by the same thing so walked around with her shoes off and sent us pictures too.Alongside the leaves and mud, there were a number of bulbs scattered around, some were even broken which could have caused injury to our guests or suppliers.There were power sockets placed right in the centre of the entrance, which had to be moved. Had myself and husband not visited the premises before the event, they would have been left and again become a trip hazard for our guests.The flooring was uneven throughout, it seemed as if there was no solid flooring underneath the carpet to create a stable structure which was confirmed when we fed back to Bisley post our event. A number of our elderly guests felt unstable walking around.By the end of the night, the edges of the floor were soaked and this was around the entire perimeter of the marquee, not just the entrance.Additionally, the dance floor was not properly secured and constructed, and during the event, the edging had come off completely. Luckily none of our guests were badly injured, but there were a number of close calls, especially as people were dancing, and alcohol was involved. We would have expected the dance floor to be non-slip in nature considering the weather that we had on the day. We had to get someone to clean and dry the dancefloor, as a number of people did slip prior to our entrance on the night.As anyone with a bit of empathy can appreciate, this did bring extreme undue stress to both myself and husband before the event and dampened our efforts in bringing such an important milestone together.The worst thing about all of this was the way in which Bisley chose to treat us after our wedding once we had the opportunity to give proper feedback.Upon booking, we had communicated that our budget was around 10-15k maximum and appreciated Sarah at Bisley facilitating our needs, and offering the service within our budget, however the CEO used this to manipulate the narrative and justify health and safety being compromised when we escalated things to him.10-15k is a huge sum of money and should have stretched quite far regardless.The most disgusting thing of all was that he was rude, sarcastic and gaslit us on multiple occasions when speaking to him. He even laughed and mocked us during some of the conversation and lied about things that we were actually able to prove wrong using email trails from the booking process.We hired this marquee so we could put on an incredible event for our guests, and unfortunately a basic standard of care and service was not met.As the cost of living goes up, its so important to ensure that people are giving their hard earned cash to businesses with integrity who actually care about people and their overall event experience. We never want anyone to experience what we've gone through with this horrendous company so stay away

Bisley marquees provided a fantastic service from start to finish for our wedding day. The price was very reasonable. We were in constant contact with Emily throughout, who was extremely understanding and flexible of our requirements, while being friendly and professional. They were very accommodating of any last minute changes and additions, and once the marquee was erected they would send people round on the same day if we had an issue. Everyone was very impressed by the quality of marquee.

We hired loos and a generator for our wedding from Bisley. They were very responsive on email in advance, and very helpful assisting on the set-up day. The loos were good quality, clean and modern (a guest say they were the best portaloos he'd ever seen!) and the generator worked without issue.

We used Bisley hire to provide toilets and shower units for our wedding. They were absolutely brilliant, took time to explain everything during the booking process, and answered all of our questions quickly and accurately. The facilities themselves were excellent, and the refill and clean service they offered was great. They even stepped up at the last minute and rented us a generator when our campsite unexpectedly lost power. Really great company with friendly and helpful staff. I would highly recommend them to anyone!

We had a faultless experience with Bisley Marquees, because between us and them we planned our event very carefully to ensure that everything would run smoothly on the day. They did everything they said they would, accommodated multiple site visits and provided a perfectly presented, clean and well-assembled marquee for our wedding. I would have no reservations in recommending them.

We used Bisley for our daughter’s wedding reception. We went for a ‘one stop’ provider as there was more than enough stress with general planning. Our field site had limited level space and severely restricted access. The Bisley team sorted the layout and services to make best use of the space. They resolved the access problems without drama. The site team were great and took great care in setting up and complying with all our unreasonable last minute changes. Great service all round.
