Fantastic service from James and Gary, nothing too much trouble. Very professional and knowledgeable, James was great at demonstrating the bikes and was very patient. We love our new bikes and the quality is evident. Would definitely recommend the brand and the shop.

I have been in to the store a number of times, and has become my go to place for any servicing needs. Most recently I over pumped my brakes - Sram Guide's (without brake pads in) causing the piston to pop out and lose fluid. This was at 3pm on Saturday before Easter, and I was due to head off to ride at 8am Monday morning. Faced with the possibility of having no rear brake, I rushed down to the shop and spoke to the staff about my predicament. They managed to find 10 mins to do a quick bleed on the rear brake. The bike was back with me in 15 minutes, brake firm and responsive, and having ridden all Monday - I am extremely thankful of the help and the quick turnaround! Great service once again.

Amazing service very friendly staff. Cant recommend highly enough. Dont ever think the bike fit service is expensive, its worth every penny. Nicky is a bible of information that will ensure every single aspect is taken into consideration. Be sure to drop in and pay these guys a visit, I guarantee you wont be disappointed. Pete in particular, goes out of his way to ensure you have all the information you need.A big thanks and thumbs up from me!

My partner and I were cycling from John O'Groats to Lands End. After cycling quite some distance to Stafford, we visited the Specialized store for some technical assistance (somewhat in desperation). All the guys at the store were friendly, warm and extremely helpful. I was particularly impressed with the speed and high-tech knowledge of the staff: who were not only interested in our journey but keen to help us back on our way.My partner, friend and myself had some niggling cycling geometrical issues with our bikes (as well as technical failures of our own bikes), and all our issues were addressed which made a significant difference to both our cycling comfort and being able to continue with our journey!THANK YOU SO SO MUCH!

I ordered a Rockhopper Pro from the store and while I was waiting for it to come in I asked about increasing the chainring size. I wanted to increase from the 30t it came with to a 36t which would suit my riding style much better. Despite the fact that I'd been advised elsewhere that this change would not be possible, they managed to get it sorted without any fuss and made the changes to the chainring and chain ready for when I picked the bike up. Pete at the store kept me up to date all the way through the process too. Top work by the Stafford store, I'd definitely recommend them.

I bought a £600 bike from the Stafford store having been reassured that the bike would be delivered to the store, set up and tested for me as I am new to cycling and wanted it done right. One week later and without any notice the bike was delivered to my work in a box completely untested.I spent the evening watching YouTube videos and trying to set the bike up the best I could. As soon as I took it out it was clear there was a problem with the brakes which were jamming on and the gears had not indexed. I took the bike back into the store where I spoke to the same person who had so unenthusiastically sold me the bike originally. I explained the problems and asked if someone could go over the bike and make sure it was set up correctly.1 week later I am asked to come and collect the bike again. It looks to be working well and the brakes have been replaced. I head over to north Wales for a cycling holiday with a friend and on the second day having done no more then 60 miles both pedals snapped out of the cranks. All the grip had been completely worn away and the pedals could not be re-attached. I was forced to push it the 6 miles back to where we were staying.I called the shop to ask what had happened to be told that they only looked at the brakes when I dropped it off and it was my word against their shop assistants that I had asked for any more to be done. I was then told I should have watched better you tube videos to set it up and the store employees have no reason to lie about what was asked for suggesting that I would need to lie?!?!I am now paying another shop to change the entire crank set and fit new pedals so I can ride a brand new bike and the Stafford concept store couldn't care less. Reg the store manager all but called me a liar and showed zero customer after care.I highly recommend that you do NOT buy a specialized bike but if you do get it from anywhere but the Stafford store. Very unprofessional staff and a real discredit to the company brand.

Hubby and I have popped in here and the sister shop near Shugborough a couple of times. I can imagine they are all over you if you want a 2 grand bike but if you are browsing and ask for advice you are lucky to get a grunt from them. My husband is 50 plus and convinced they are ageist. If that is the case they are very misguided as he is prepared to spend a lot of money for friendly service... and it definitely won't be here. There are bike shops in Stafford who value the oldies.

I my wife purchased me a stumpjumper sworks for Xmas online from this store. It arrived without the pedals advertised and the stem had been over tightened which had cracked the paint around the bolts. It had a few other issues but they were the main ones. I spoke to them immediately and was informed they had decided not to send the pedals as they weren't good enough for the bike in their opinion?! They agreed to send them out quickly and also to replace the stem. 3 weeks went by and no pedals arrived....after numerous phone calls and plenty of stress due to the fake promises they said I could drive to the nearest store and collect a pair. I explained it was a 3hr round trip and all I was told was they would probably accept a £5 donation for the pedals. The pedals that I had already paid for!! After highlighting my displeasure and utter amazement they contacted me back and offered me some xt pedals as compensation. This was good and i gratefully accepted. I was promised they would arrive before Xmas. They didn't but they did arrive afterwards. When I opened the box I was surprised to find 2 left pedals and nothing for the right side?! I contacted them again and again had to argue for some time that I needed a right pedal to complete the set. Incompetence at it's finest. Eventually I recieved the other pedal but no stem. Approx 3 months later I have received a phone call from some one called Greg I believe. Who explained to me that I need to send the extra left hand pedal back, quite reasonable in fairness. However he then explains that it will be at my expense and when questioned on the replacement stem isn't interested as they can't get another one apparently. Again after a heated discussion he agrees to send me a replacement. I'm not convinced it will be of the same quality. He then tries to convince me to remove the stem and send it back as he will immediately send a stem out when they receive it....ummmm just like the pedals I guess! Unfortunately this is still on going as I still have the pedal and the stem but need to somehow bring it to a conclusion.Bottom line is in my experience this store is very very poor, they have proven to me that most if not all of them are incompetent and I would strongly recommend never use this store.

This review is based on my experience of a visit to the Stafford branch of Specialized Concept store, it does not include the other branches.I walked into this store looking to spend around £500/£600 pounds maybe a bit more on a flat bar road bike. Upon being approached by the member of staff there, I enquired into the hybrid flat bar bikes that Specialized supplied. I told him what I was looking for and my budget, and that I had purchased a similarly priced Specialized mountain bike a year earlier (not from them). I can only say that there was an utter lack of enthusiasm or interest in my enquiry, I was shocked at the member of staff's complete indifference to what I was looking for. For a start he seemed pretty humourless, and I suspect was a cycling snob! I think that because I wasn't spending £5000 and only £500, that I was seen as a pleb to be hurriedly brushed aside. He couldn't walk away quick enough and did absolutely nothing to sell the brand or the bike to me. I don't expect someone to completely kiss your butt in this kind if situation, but at least show a modicum of interest, enthusiasm and customer facing skills? Is it just me or does this trait seem to be spreading? Its not just this experience I can draw upon, but a number of customer care issues across a lot of retailers.Anyway, shame on you SPECIALIZED CONCEPT STORE STAFFORD.. you're sadly lacking in many areas and I would not spend £5 with you let alone £500, definitely never £5000. And I hope the next time the arrogant person I dealt with goes cycling, his saddle falls off and his seat post penetrates his overtightened posterior.. S-NOB!!

I'm writing this on behalf of a friend who bought his first mountain bike, a rockhopper comp, from this store. After getting the attention of the staff, they recommended he would need an xl frame due to his height. They didn't have this in stock at the time but arranged to have the bike delivered to the store, set up and driven to his workplace during the week (as he worked about 45 minutes away and wouldn't be able to get back to the store until the following weekend). This was very good customer service and we were very pleased and grateful for the offer.Fast forward a few days and the bike arrived at his workplace in a box, not setup at all and no instructions were provided (this is his first mountain bike). After taking it home and assembling it himself, making sure not to over torque any components, he took it for a short ride to find the brakes were sticking on and the gears had not been indexed whatsoever. Shifting was an absolute nightmare. My friend spoke to one of the managers at the store who said it shouldn't have gone out boxed and that they would set it up correctly if returned to the store. The bike was driven back to the store and a full setup was requested. Fast forward a few more days... the bike was picked up by my friend. The paintwork had been chipped, a small chunk taken out of the top tube, the bars weren't aligned correctly, the gears worked slightly better and the brakes were no longer sticking.A couple of weeks go by and we're riding some roads in Wales, my friend goes to push off on the right side pedal and it completely breaks away from the crank... we attempt to re-install it but the threads inside the crank have been completely stripped, i can only assume from cross threading. Looking at the non drive side, a similar situation was occurring... the pedal was pulling away from the crank. We took the bike to a local shop in Wales (who was A LOT more helpful than Specialized were being) and even with both of us restraining the bike and the technician using a 2 handed wrench, we couldn't break the left side pedal away from the crank. The bike has now been left with this local shop for a couple of days whilst he attempts to source a whole new chainset and pedals.Whilst all this was going on, my friend was in contact with this Specialized store explaining the situation and basically being called a liar and told he hadn't asked for the bike to be setup and had only asked for the brakes to be looked at... shocking customer service and needless to say we won't be supporting this store or brand in the future. As a few other reviews have stated, unless you're looking to buy a bike worth a few grand the staff don't seem to care.
