Sillence Hurn quoted to oversee roof replacement on a block of flats in Southampton for me. Their quotation is very thorough & professionally presented. No details overlooked. More comprehensive than other quotes.I've recommended them to the block managing agent so as to be more confident the new roof will be done to the correct standard in accordance with the specification.

Sillence-Hurn were able to get on site next day to prepare a Schedule of Dilapidations that was urgently required. They were also very good at providing me with a detailed verbal feedback at the end of the site visit that helped me to keep the process moving forward, whilst awaiting the submission of the final schedule. Excellent job all round.

We had a level 3 survey done a month ago and it was very detailed and informative. Thanks to our surveyor we found out about a subsidence issue and luckily stopped the sale. We are now buying another house and again, the survey helped us to do an informed decision about our purchase. We can highly recommend Silence Hurn Building Consulting and especially Adrian Webb (our surveyor) who has a great attention to detail and will happily answer any of your questions and queries in a timely manner. In addition, we think the price was fair compared to other quotes we received from similar companies.

Sillence Hurn carried out a full buildings survey on a property we were purchasing. Steve, the surveyor took the time at our request to talk us through on the phone the top level findings before the report was ready in order for us to move forwards with conveyancing. The report was well written and the guidance and advice clear and concise and the fee was reasonable (I had a few quotes and this was one of the more affordable options). In addition I contacted Steve directly for some advice on some survey report feedback on our own property that we had received. He was really helpful, taking the time to look at the excerpt of the report we had been provided, giving us some advice and some experts to get in touch with to resolve the issues raised. All of this was at his own expense and it was really appreciated. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend & use again.

Sillence Hurn has surpassed our expectations with the service they have provided. Derek and his team have not only delivered an incredible, detailled 246 page Schedule of Condition, it landed in my inbox on a Sunday morning because they were very kindly turning it around for us within a short time frame to avoid our delays in completing on a Lease this week. His team have always been available to support/reply to emails if he is out on a job, helping to plan a call when needed. Their input has been pivitol in us progressing to the next step of our new business and they don't know it but it's also my birthday so I shall have the best day now! :-) Many thanks :-)
