Really good quality carvery. Very busy at tea time on Sundays. My only complaint is that the only soft drinks available were in bottles and cost almost £4.00 each. We were offered tap water, which was great but a soft drink was desired. Our waitress was lovely and the service was excellent. The staff are very friendly and obliging.

If you want a little more restaurant atmosphere and slightly better carvery the Holiday Inn on the same location is also excellent. I don't think they do take away though.However the Toby carvery is superb value for money and the take away tub is huge (you also get a separate bag for roast potatoes!). We thoroughly enjoyed our take away roast - my mum has limited mobility and the takeaway gave her a lovely roast cooked by someone else with none of the hassle of going out!It was easy to order at the bar then you take your receipt to the carvery where they give you the takeaway tub which they add the meat to then you help yourself to veg just like the eat in option.There was a choice of pork, gammon, turkey and beef or a mix. Then roast potatoes with gravy or plain. Macaroni cheese, red cabbage, sprouts, deliciously sweet carrots, peas and creamed potatoes. Probably more I've forgotten. At the end is more gravy and sauces. The round tubs are easy to carry in a big paper bag they provide. If you fill the tubs you are unlikely to eat it all! We will be having bubble and squeak tomorrow from the leftovers!Top marks to Toby take away option - will definitely do this again!

We went for breakfast and the first thing I saw was the filth on the top of the hot food cabinet it was unbelievable that anyone could walk passed that and not see it. The food was average but we waited a long time for vegan sausages. The staff were fine until we pointed out the dirt then they become surly. The bathroom followed the same line. The toilet was clean but the cubical was filthy. Clearly a housekeeping issue here.

Had an amazing carvery yesterday, good choice and excellent taste, I went king-size for the extra meat, sausages and Yorkshire pudding and it was worth it, nice chilled atmosphere and it wasn't very busy at 2pm on a Thursday. Staff were attentive and happy. Outside area is also available and nicely kept, just need to update their advertising as apparently you need to book now for father's Day lol.

To be honest it's what I expected some of the dishes were very nice but when it's an all you can eat the meat is cheap, I would prefer to pay more and get better quality. The toast machine was broken so this was disappointing. The coffee option I picked was refillable and ok nothing special.I took my brother and all the kids on a trip out so it was highly convenient. The toilets didn't appear to be disabled friendly as you needed to walk up stairs. But there may have been one.The place was clean and tidy. The staff were polite and helpful. When I pointed out low food it was acted upon instantly.Would I use again probably but my wife would not like the quality.However it fed us all and left the kids happy and content so no complaints.

Friendly service, loads of seating, relaxing atmosphere. Most importantly, delicious food. The meats are well prepared and savory. The rest of the menu is also fantastic. Get two servings of meat for starters and all the vegetables and sides you can eat! And Beth is a 5-star waitress. If you get her you'll be glad!

Had a really good visit, our server Lucy was fantastic, friendly and made our visit good. Well done LucyVisited again today, 18/ 9 after have a bad day. I was greeted when walking in with a smile, from Lucy. Food was lovely and hot, And again I received fantastic professional service from my server Lucy. I left feeling a lot better.

Food was hot, that was about the only good thing. Drinks took forever to arrive. Waiting to get carvery you have advertising all over that lamb is available Saturdays and Sundays, but there was no lamb. The beef was on the last little bit and was awful, I upgraded to king size which should get more meat, but I had EXACTLY the same meat as the person I went up with who was served at the same time as me. The guy carving the meat was a ray of sunshine! We waited with dirty plates on our table for 20 mins to pay and ended up giving up and going to the bar

Went on a Sunday evening and as you would expect it was very busy. We managed a last minute table for tea around 5ish. Food was as you would expect, could have been slightly better but still good value for money.

This place keeps going down hill every month. We was stood at the hot plate for around 5 mins watching the chefs having a meeting with some manager type woman they saw us and never acknowledged that we was waiting. This also said manager type woman also dragged our waiter off to have a chat with her ( during service ) but took her to a place where everyone could see her and we saw her get very emotional during the chat. This should have been done out of view of the customers. No one asked how our food was or if we was OK, every other table was asked. The food was medocia at best the seasonal crumble has been the same since that place opened.
