Golden View Care Home

Hi Nice Country-Side care home lots of Trees all around a lot better than houses or Traffic. I found this home to be very clean & Plenty of Staff on Duty all of the time I visited + they where very helpful.When I pressed the buzzer for help with my Brother staff where there within a couple of minutes Max.The large room was a bit sparse but this (may) depend on your length of stay or the reason you are there in the first place ?

My mother in law went here it was awful yes they seemed caring but she sat there all day ! No activities , no motivation to do anything ! She went in to be assessed and came out a lot worse than when she went in , I’d go as far as to say most the staff found it hard to speak English ! It was like being in solitary confinement for her PLEASE AVOID , disgusting place , if anyone is being sent there to be assessed insist your loved ones are put somewhere else please

Prisons have better facilities than this place, avoid if possible

I and my family have only good things to say about Golden View Care Home! Our mother was there for 6 weeks to be assessed and then to await a permanent care home place.She was thoroughly happy there and was sad to leave (Golden View is used for assessment and not permanent residence).The staff were immense in the way that they cared for the residents, (all of the residents, not just our mum). I witnessed some incredible instances of their true caring nature, ways that cannot be faked. They were simply wonderful in the way that they cared for the residents, with patience, good nature and skill.Our mother loved the food, really got on with the staff, benefitted from the 'people watching' that the regime encouraged.Our mother, and all of our family wished that she could have stayed there ongoing.I can only give thanks to all there for the care that they provided, the dignity that they helped her maintain and their communication with the whole family

I cannot thank Katie enough who runs the home .My sister and I were new to nursing care when our mum became dependant . Katie gave us sound help and advice and straight talking . Debbie was a wonderful carer to our mother - nothing was too much trouble and she was very understanding to us all. Sarah also was very good. Thank you for leading us through a most difficult time.
