Southwell Holiday Cottage - Lavender Cottage

a perfect place in Southwell. Quiet yet within 5-10 mins walk you are in the center of town. I love this place, the host is incredible and very easy to communicate with and very very very helpful. If you are staying in Southwell think no further this is your place.

A lovely cottage in a great location - clean, comfortable, well appointed and cosy. Owner is very helpful and friendly, and obviously takes genuine pleasure in helping guests to feel welcome and enjoy their stay.

This is a beautifully appointed cottage only a few minutes walk from the village of Southwell and a great location from which to explore the surrounding countryside. This was our first time at Lavender Cottage (but our third in Southwell) and, although the three of us were guests for four days, we felt like we were treated like 'extended family'. The warmth of the welcome, the range of goodies there for us when we arrived, and the attention to detail in how the cottage was appointed, made for a memorable stay. Rebecca (and Stuart) were a joy to meet and couldn't do enough to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. We would stay there again in a heatbeat, and would recommend others to experience Southwell Holiday Cottage for themselves.

This smartly presented cottage is superbly situated within easy walking distance of Southwell with its impressive Minster and independent shops both of which are well worth a visit. The accommodation is first class with excellent facilities, very comfy bed, and a well stocked Welcome hamper which was much appreciated. Rebecca was a very welcoming and attentive host on hand to give help and advice if required. This is an area we are not familiar with, but we found plenty to do with its Winter Craft Fair and a local well run bonfire scheduled over the weekend we were there. The Southwell Workhouse now owned by the National Trust was also still open before closing for the Winter months. Sherwood Forest and the Major Oak is a 15 - 20 minutes drive away too. All in all, a great place to stay to get away and relax.

Spent two nights at the Lavender cottage in Southwell, and it exceeded my expectations. Spotlessly clean, well maintained and hosted by Rebecca who couldn't have treated us any better. Short walks into town for everything to see and do in Southwell with small shops, good food, pubs, bars and late-night food to take away ! Comfy beds and a quiet night's sleep left us well rested for the day's adventures. The perfect weather made it that much better, and we look forward to visiting again.

A beautiful cottage in the heart of the County! Our host couldn't have been more welcoming or accommodating. Perfect option for a stay in Notts and a great base from which to explore.

Lavender cottage is in an ideal location to explore Southwell on foot. The welcome package is one of the best I've seen and the kitchen has everything you'd need such as coffee, tea, butter, oil, dishwasher tablets . The beds have good quality mattresses that provide a good night's sleep although the second bedroom is more suited to a single person. Will definitely use this has a base again to visit Southwell and the surrounding countryside.

A delightful cottage beautifully presented and immaculately clean. Only a short walk to the centre of Southwell and the Minster. Rebecca was very helpful and the welcome pack was lovely. Would recommend.
