Best Sri Lankan food in Brighton and Hove! The veggie thali is delicious, and for meat eaters the black pork curry is excellent! The rotis and sambol are so tasty…. The whole menu is really great! Fabulous takeaways or why not make an evening of it and eat in at the super dog-friendly Bottoms Rest?

Me and my husband tried Sri Lankan food for the first time and it was sooooooo good, highly recommended to everyone to try thier dishes.

I would give Manicke’s food 10 stars if I could.. I have tried lots of their dishes, stewed lamb, creamy chicken curry, devilled chicken all are like an explosion of flavour on your mouth.. The head chef gives very generous portions and is extremely friendly and welcoming.. if you are just having a meal out with friends or catering for a party I would definitely recommend.. ❤️

Returning with the family, again we had amazing food, cooked to perfection and presented beautifully. Totally recommend it.

The best Sri Lankan food in Brighton and Hove. For someone who has never eaten this cuisine the flavours were incredible, the prawn and beef Deviled Dishes are a must along with the freshly made starters. I will be returning very soon.

I’m a Sri Lankan gal and I’ve been very spoilt with excellent Sri Lankan fare growing up in England. I live in the next street to Manicke so I when they opened, I went in to sample a taste of ‘home’.I’ve now eaten from there 3 times (once at Bottom’s Rest Pub, and two takeaways) and, I must say, the food does not disappoint. It was utterly delicious! The Vegetarian Thalis which I got for my sons were great portion sizes (BIG!) and each time they scoffed the whole lot before I could even get a look in. I’ve had the Lamb Koththu and, (off menu alert!) a Beef Biriyani complete with boiled egg. The food is fresh, honest to Sri Lankan flavours and very well priced.I’m hoping they’ll be serving Hoppers very soon but until then I shall be returning to Manicke to sample the other dishes on the menu.

Undoubtedly the best Sri Lankan restaurant in Brighton city. Food was delicious. If you go there, don’t forget to speak to the chef. A super friendly chap from Sri Lanka.

Manicke is a true gem and a culinary delight. We have had a few takeaways from Manicke and each time it has exceeded our expectations. The food was delicious, the service was fast and friendly. We were thoroughly impressed with the quality and flavours of all the dishes we ordered. It's definitely our new go-to for takeaway meals!
