PATELLO BRAZILIAN JIU JITSU

Patello’s is is an incredible club with incredible people. From my very first lesson as a complete beginner I was being shown all the basic moves with much higher belts. They really made me feel welcome. I would recommend this club to anyone. You get to learn from a master at the game who embodies everything you want from the sport. A true master at his craft. I’ve been out with an injury of late and can not wait to get myself back down at the club.

Rodolfo Patello’s jiu jitsu club is one of the most informative places to learn BJJ as I have learnt having zero knowledge of any martial art, lack of fitness and pre existing injuries. All belts within the club have motivated, encouraged and pursued in taking me a level of knowledge I thought I would never achieve. I have sparred with all belts from beginners to Mr Patello himself learning theory as well as practicing sequences in detail. Highly recommend this club much more than others.

Joined at the end of 2022 and was immediately made to feel welcome and part of the team. The atmosphere is friendly and the level is good with a range of body types which make for some varied and exciting rolls. Rodolfo is very knowledgeable and rolls regularly with students, it's a fantastic place to train and I'm very happy there.

I trained here for a few sessions earlier this year and found it to be a great club. Rodolfo is an extremely knowledgeable experienced black belt who is welcoming to everyone who comes down. Him along with everyone else made me feel very welcome. Great training, with a great instructor and a great bunch of people. This club has a great vibe.

Joined just under a year with no martial arts experience and was instantly addicted. Everyone at the gym is extremely welcoming and wants to help you grow. This includes the instructor, Rodolfo, who is always happy to speak to his students about any concerns or questions they may have. Due to this being a smaller gym you get a real personal experience where a lot of attention is given to each student as well as having a real family feel. Highly recommend to begginer and experienced BJJ players alike!

Great teaching, the best people and an incredible experience. Would never want to go anywhere else after training for a year at Patello. Rodolfo knows his stuff and everyone makes you feel very welcome.

Been to 2 other Jiu Jitsu gyms in the area and this was by far my first choice. It's half the price of some of the other clubs but I can't really see why.It's very rare thing in BJJ clubs that you will spend a decent amount of time with coloured belts right from the start, meaning you'll learn a lot faster than most other places.My very first lesson I had 2 purple belts spend a full half hour with me taking me through some side-control basics. You don't get that anywhere else.Learning BJJ isn't easy. It can be overwhelming in the beginning, but nowhere else nearby will make it as easy and approachable. It can be a bit intimidating going to a new club for the first time but everyone was very friendly and made it easy for me.I almost talked myself out of turning up to my first lesson, but it will probably be the best decision I have made this year.

Though I could only commit to 3 months before having to relocate I was made to feel as welcome as any member of the Patello family. It boasts a fun, yet serious atmosphere where learning and curiosity are encouraged by both instructors and veteran attendees. Rodolfo is a legitimate Jiu Jitsu warrior who wants to see those that are willing to work hard succeed.

Having never trained Ju Jitsu before it is always a little nerve-racking walking in to your first lesson, not knowing what to expect & what welcome you may receive. I am please to say it has been a fantastic place to train, not only for its welcoming community but also for the exceptional coaching provided. Whether you are a newcomer to BJJ or a seasoned practitioner, you’ll feel right at home here, and undoubtedly see significant progress in your skills.
