Mayfair Carpets

We have been looking at buying a new carpet which has been all measured and priced up gor 1000 pounds. We rang up this shop to finalise the deal and they were shutting up shop at half 3 in the afternoon on a saturday. We kindly asked if they would stay open for a further ten mins so we could pay for carpets and he refused. We have now gone else where. That experience has left a bad taste in my mouth but that business has missed out on 1000 pounds. Shocking.

Arranged for someone to come out and measure up even though I wasn’t going to need a carpet for a few months but thought if they already had the measurements it would save time when I came to get one.I went a few months later, took some samples home, chose carpet, ordered it and was told it would be there in about a week which it was and I arranged for them to fit it the following day, I had a very heavy 3 piece suite so needed two fitters, they were very friendly and did a cracking job when they finished they asked where I wanted my 3 piece putting and they also asked if I needed help with putting any other furniture back (which I didn’t but the offer was there. They did a cracking job and left the place tidy.I have had several carpets from them in the past also had a laminate floor put in and have had no problems with them what so ever. Thank you all involved.

I have been going to Mayfair carpets for years, as do my parents. They are always helpful & obliging, there service is second to none. The price always very reasonable.,The fitters are always reliable & do a lovely job.Don’t think twice about ordering your carpets from here.

A disaster from start to finish. The fitters had a total disrespect for our property. Dragged the Hessian backed roll of carpet across our newly painted handrail, stripping the paint off. Poorly cut carpet around the hearth meaning it doesn't lay flat. Wood flooring fitters repeatedly cancelled appointments in favour of bigger jobs. The workmanship was poor, wish we'd fitted it ourselves, we would have done a better job. Initial measuring was wrong meaning we had too little flooring and too much beading. We really wanted to go local but feel thoroughly disappointed.

First class service at store and fitters were prompt, friendly and adept and all at a very reasonable price. Would have no hesitation in recommending.
