Oaklands Pavilion

Just had to say a huge thank you to Jeremy, Toby and the team for a wonderful wedding reception yesterday.The venue is perfect - a large room with plenty of tables and chairs, a well stocked and staffed bar, plenty of parking space and a glorious veranda overlooking Oaklands Park.Jeremy was patience itself when dealing with queries from the family and from additional services contacts like catering, Photo Booth, cake delivery, etc.Toby managed the whole afternoon and evening with precision and an eye for detail.He listened to our requirements and made sure that everything ran smoothly.Nothing was too much trouble for him or the team which allowed us all to enjoy this long-planned and anticipated event.So much praise for the staff and venue - highly recommended.

Can’t recommend the Sunday roast enough, a full plate of scrumpy roast beef!!!

We’ve just had the most amazing experience at Oaklands pavilion, where we celebrated our Mum’s 80th birthday party lunch. The Snug room was perfect venue, and I can’t thank Sarah Harper enough for helping us organise the event, and all her thoughtful suggestions. The food was utterly delicious too, thanks to Helen’s Real Food. The highest recommendation possible for both the venue and caterers and the biggest thank you ever for such a brilliant day!

Well... What a hidden gem this place is! From our first meeting with Jeremy, we knew it was the venue we wanted. The bar was big enough and well stocked enough to keep all our guests happy and planning our day with Jeremys help was a total dream! With help from family, friends and the Oaklands staff, we were able to get the main room set up and decorated the day before and we were beyond happy with the finished result! The day before the wedding, Jeremy introduced me (the bride) to Toby. Now... words cannot describe how incredible Toby is at his job. Our day would have been nothing without him!! Toby was the brain for the day and kept everything moving. He coordinated amazingly with our caterers and even served my elderly grandmother her plate of food so she didn't have to get up from her seat. Nothing was too much for him, even at the end of the night making sure we didn't miss our taxi! He was everywhere all at once and a true gentleman. Wish i could give 10 stars. Thank you to Jeremy, Toby and all the staff at Oaklands Pavilion for making the greatest day of our lives absolutely incredible. All the best, Mr & Mrs Haysom <3

This was a perfect venue for a family birthday party. Oaklands Pavillion is great, clean, full of character and smart, everyone commented on what a find it was. The bar and snug were ideal to fit us all in & surprise the birthday girl! Sarah was helpful, accommodating and wonderful to deal with and made organising the party so easy. I wish we could do it all again now!

Oakland's Park has the sort of climate that can strip away your aura on a windy day. The newly refurbished pavilion is fairly smart and offers good facilities, and dare I say adequate shelter from the windy field. In all honesty, I've only really nipped to the toilet, so I can't comment much on the other areas. Because this is a rugby club, you might find that the floor is strewn with clods and grass on a match day. Car parking is OK, but there is limited space, so you might need to park at the Festival Theatre and walk up the hill if it's especially busy.
