The Boathouse
Went for an impromptu lunch as The Globe was fully booked... and I'm glad we did! Very friendly staff and food was great, thank you. It was a cosy winter's day indoors, but in summer it must be a stunning setting.

As it was our first visit to The Boathouse, we were a little apprehensive as we had a special guest with us & needed a quiet space in which to chat. (There were 3 of us). We were shown to the Conservatory. It couldn't have been nicer - tastefully decorated with beautiful houseplants (real ones!), warm & with a river view. We were given outstanding service by Jo, our waiter, who was particularly attentive to my need for gluten-free food. We all enjoyed the food which was presented tastefully, & all excellent. We also considered we had good value for money. Altogether it was a delightful & memorable experience & we look forward to our next visit. Many thanks to everyone who worked so hard to make us feel special.

It was our first time coming to The Boathouse. The food was absolutely delicious, beautifully presented, and served piping hot! We were pleasantly surprised at how quickly it arrived, considering it was a busy Friday evening! Outstanding service by both the kitchen and the front of house team, especially Joel, who was waiting on our table. We had a fantastic experience eating here, a lovely way to end my birthday! Thank you to The Boathouse! :) we will definitely be returning again soon.

Lovely Riverside pub with cosy atmosphere. Nice outside seating with great views of the river and lots of tables. We sat in the beautiful conservatory. Menu a little limited ( hence 4 stars) but tasty food. Service was great. They don't check their answer phone messages ( so we were told by staff) so don't book by leaving a message like we did ! But plenty of tables so no problem. Right next to the tow path, flat well maintained railway cycle path to Bath and Bristol, camp site and the park and ride so super convenient. Will return.

Lovely location by the water. Does not take cash only cards which confused quite a few visitors when we were there. Above average menu but poor selection of beers. Friendly but absent minded staff. Dog tolerant but not dog aware/friendly. No water offered for them. We went yo eat do want comment on the overnight rooms

What a wonderful place with incredible staff! My friend and I stayed here for the weekend and we can’t recommend it enough. It’s a beautiful hotel and pub with the most wonderful atmosphere and beautifully decorated. Our room was perfect, had everything you needed and was clean and well presented. All the staff were so friendly and welcoming, nothing was too much trouble and it was so clear they just wanted you to enjoy yourself and have a wonderful time. The food was incredible. We had dinner and breakfast there and the service was impeccable. The location is perfect too, really close to Bath centre and has a park and ride right next to it. Thank you so much to the whole team for being so wonderful, we will definitely be back!

Great spot by the river, it was quiet when we stopped in but it is probably somewhere we'll return to as a bolt hole in the future. Calm and quiet views of the river, a space where you can read, plan walks of even catch upon work if you need to. A nice looking menu and a good range of drinks on offer means you have absolutely no reason to leave the grounds unless you want to take a boat trip or try some paddle boarding.

Second visit but sadly not as enjoyable and disappointing. We went for the Sunday roast on Sunday evening but only had a choice of beef, which looked nice and rare but was chewy and difficult to cut and the potatoes rubbery as if the meal had been left too long under heat lamps. The hostess was attentive and said she would feedback to the kitchen but nothing came of this. I felt our bill was excessive for the quality of the meal. This is a very pretty pub close to Bath Spa Uni.

Don't bother going here unless you are paying by card. They ought to have a big sign outside saying we don't want your custom if you want to Pay by cash!!. Very disappointed that Legal Tender is NOT accepted in this establishment. Realty lovely staff though.
