While staying at Mirefoot for our Honeymoon, the highlight was the evening that Martin cooked for us. Not only was the food outstanding but Martin himself is a wonderful person, that made us feel relaxed throughout the whole night. Would highly recommend.

Awesome experience with Martin.The food was fantastic and we had some really good conversations with him.The duck is hands down the best tasting meat I’ve ever eaten.He was also really good with our puppy, who can be a pain in the backside with new people.We will definitely be back.

Booked Martin for my wife's Birthday. He prepared and served some of the best food we have eaten. We're lucky enough to have eaten in sone of the best restaurants in the country and this was up there with them but with the added bonus of having it in your own home.I've already booked Martin for December and looking forward to it all ready.

Martin cooked for seven of us recently. He was extremely helpful in the lead up to the evening, always responding quickly to any queries and requests. The meal itself was absolutely outstanding. We all said one of the best we've ever had. It all made for an incredibly memorable evening, for which we are truly grateful. We'll definitely contact Martin again if we're back in Cumbria.

Martin catered for our large family gathering at Cark Manor. The communication before the event was spot on and Martin and Harriet arrived as agreed on the day in order to set up and start cooking. Martin was able to cater for both the adults and the children in our party with slightly differing menus, all of the food was superb and definitely Michelin Star quality.Would not hesitate to recommend

For those of you wondering whether to try one of Martin's at home dining experiences - I can assure you they are absolutely superb. We have asked Martin to cook for us on several occasions, most recently for a birthday celebration with 10 people, and each time - the food has been exquisite. Martin will leave your kitchen as he found it - and you will be left thinking wow

We had a 7 course tasting menu with Martin, and it was, without a doubt, the best meal we have ever had. Martin was professional, passionate and great at explaining the courses, as well as his methods and techniques. In addition, he shared a few pearls of wisdom for cooking at home.We can thoroughly recommend and will certainly be booking with him again.

Absolutely superb. A wonderful experience. I booked Martin for my wife’s birthday whilst staying at Mirefoot.From initial correspondence to serving us during the evening Martin is a pleasure to deal with. He responded to all queries so quickly, and on the evening was a fantastic and interesting host.And all this before you taste the food.Divine! The flavours are fantastic with amazing presentation on every course. What an experience! And Martin didn’t just stick to the menu we had chosen, in particular the Sweet Treat lemon meringue blondie at the end of the meal as an added extra treat for my wife was delicious.It’s a thrill to watch an expert at work in your kitchen. I could not recommend Martin more highly. A first class, five star experience.

Martin made the whole process really easy and the communication was great. The food looked amazing on the menus he sent through and did not disappoint on the night. We picked the 3 course menu with the addition of Cumbrian canapes. Martin quietly got on with the job at hand in what was a smallish kitchen! Every single course was fabulous (the sticky beef cheeks were to die for). Thoroughly recommend his food and we’ll definitely book again.
