Llangollen Railway - (Glyndyfrdwy,Station)
As a family, we have been visiting Llangollen for many years. We have travelled on this lovely heritage railway on more occasions than memory serves.The trip along the gorgeous Dee Valley to Carrog is breathtaking in it's beauty. We have enjoyed many family stays in the wonderful station house at Berwyn, which is also owned by the Railway. I cannot recommend it too highly. Thank you to all the excellent staff and volunteers, who have enabled us to have so many happy times and memories.

Llangollen Railway - (Glyndyfrdwy,Station)
Perfectly restored station on the Llangollen line. Look for all the attention to detail in the lovingly maintained handcarts, flower displays and buildings. Little cameo stories everywhere - the antique bicycle chained to the fence, the cart of milk churns waiting for the goods train. Nothing much to do nearby, but the station itself is worth a look -- don't miss the train when it leaves, though!

Excellent stop off to watch the trains go by.Rarely gets too busy because of the limited parking nearby. Nice little cafe on the station platform. Worth a visit.

Historic railway station with heritage trains to Llangollen, also a Victorian signal box overlooking the level crossing, the surrounding area is stunning hilly countryside, station has toilets and a small tea room.

A truly amazing place to watch the cold wet rain driving horizontally as you wait for the return leg of your train, standing in the lee of the closed cafe trying to stay only moderately wet. The lack of a timetable anywhere really helps you enjoy your stay as it adds a frisson of uncertainty to everything, which can be a fun distraction from your baby’s howling. Top tip: shivering helps exercise your muscles to stay a bit warmer.

Had day trip along this line. Came across vintage car/bus/motorbike/tractor show. Very impressive for those who like this sort of thing
