A sophisticated place with a warm, friendly service. Respectful menu listed, food was lovely, and had a creative presentation. Would say this is the best Turkish restaurant I have been to in the UK.

The staff are lovely and friendly, I asked them to recommend a dish and they talked me through some of the specials. I settled on a lamb dish that was wonderful, full of flavour and cooked to perfection. Lots of lovely touches including the complimentary Turkish tea and wonderful goats cheese and fresh baked flat bread. If you are in the Cardiff Bay Area you absolutely must pop in and try this place I was very happy I did

*Wow* hands down the best breakfast we have ever had! The fresh traditional Turkish breakfast was insane. Every ingredient used Made this so enjoyable. For £18 per person you get to pick out of two different type traditional hot omelettes then fresh fried pastry, bread, all the tray that’s loaded. Unlimited Turkish tea such good value for money. *Best breakfast in Cardiff* brilliant service from all the staff brunch runs until 1pm!

I would highly recommend this place. Quality food and high quality meat, cooked to perfection. Good selection of alcoholic cocktails. Staff there were so accommodating, welcoming and helpful in explaining the menu. I have been to a lot of Turkish restaurants and I can say this is the best, simply there is no comparison. be prepared for a unique, authentic high standard dining experience, unrivalled and unmatched.

As a Turk myself, I was thrilled to find this authentic Turkish restaurant in the neighborhood. As soon as I stepped inside, I felt transported back to Istanbul with the aromas of flavorful kebabs, pilavs and Turkish coffee. The menu featured all of my favorite traditional dishes like juicy Adana kebabs, mezes, and flaky börek pastries. I was pleased to see regional specialties like pide with different kind of fillings and lahmacun flatbread that can be hard to find in restaurants abroad. The food was expertly spiced and the portions very generous. The staff was also very warm and hospitable in true Turkish style. I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone craving real Turkish cuisine cooked and served just like in Turkey. It has become my new favorite go-to place when I want a taste of home!

Decorated very tastefully and in lovely warm tones, the restaurant is cosy & elegant. The staff were very welcoming & attentive.We received a complimentary puffed bread sprinkled with seeds & served with a spreadable cheese similar to goats cheese.We enjoyed the food but I did find my main dish to be a little too oily.Nice experience, & you can take in your own alcohol at the moment & pay a corkage fee, although I know that they do have a licence pending.

What a fabulous place. I was visiting my daughter who is a student for her birthday and decided to go here. I am so happy we did. As it was a Monday lunchtime the place was not busy but that didn't matter at all the service was excellent and very hospital, the food is out of this world.I ordered pudding and they played happy birthday and wrote on her plate.The whole experience was wonderful. 5 Stars all the way.

The food and service is absolutely outstanding. Fresh, tasty, rich meals. The combination of their “winter salad” is special. The Sultan have added a value to Cardif Bay.

The Sultan, a Turkish gem in Cardiff, offers an exceptional dining experience that elevated the local culinary scene. My friends and I were warmly welcomed by the attentive staff and immersed in the enchanting ambiance of Turkey. The highlight was undoubtedly the tender Sarma Beyti Kebab, seasoned to perfection and accompanied by a vibrant medley of grilled vegetables. The restaurant's commitment to high level service was reassuring, and we relished the delightful complementary balloon bread with cheese dip. The Sultan is a must-visit for anyone craving authentic Turkish flavors, excellent service, and a memorable time with friends. We can't wait to return for another delicious feast!

Really beautiful interior and gorgeous food, we went for a brunch which was really tasty. The portions were massive and the customer service was very welcoming and friendly. Will definitely be coming again plus unlimited tea!
