Lovely friendly, helpful staff. Had a nice coffee, while I waited for stylist. Had a good natter while having hair done and got exactly what I wanted. Very happy. Will be back.

I have been going to Jacqui at Shine for more than ten years and wouldn’t trust anyone else with my hair now! The salon is professional and friendly and Jacqui is amazing! She also does both my daughters hair and can truly master any style for any age. I couldn’t recommend Jacqui and her team enough.

My daughter was 10mins late for her appointment (it was her 4th birthday surprise ) and they had given her slot to someone else and couldn't see her for the rest of the day. My wife and her used to be regulars until this happened as well. Really let down and no even an apology . They all knew it was her birthday surprise as well. Wouldn't recommend.

My first haircut at Shine was from a short bob cut to a pixie with Elizabeth, she was polite, professional and nice to talk to. She did a great job of my hair and I really liked the cut which is why 8-9 weeks later I rebooked with Elizabeth for another cut, keeping my hair in a pixie.This time I was called and told Elizabeth was off sick and would I be ok to have Jacqui cut my hair (who is the owner, and a more expensive stylist at the salon) I said yes, was not informed that there would be an extra charge for this and turned up on November 4th at 5.45pm for my cut.I presented Jacqui the photo of Michelle Williams and her iconic pixie cut (image attached) asking for this and saying, a classic pixie.Jacqui went on to cut my hair much, much shorter and with little professional care or skill in doing so. This has left me with almost no fringe, a hair cut that is not like the image or like a classic pixie I asked for and feeling very unhappy facing months of growing out as well as correcting this cut. I was not offered an apology and did not receive any kind of acknowledgment of her lack of care or skill in cutting my hair. I received a full refund, after leaving in a state of shock and denial of how bad the actual situation was.I feel that I have been humiliated, dehumanised and violated by this careless act and I do not feel that the care or skill I deserved was taken.I would not recommend to anyone.

The salon has a very friendly atmosphere and all staff make you feel welcomed. I have had my hair cut by Libby on two occasions now and have been very happy with the result on both occasions. Salon is very clean and I have always had my appointments run to the time given. Overall I would definitely recommend and will definitely be returning.

Have been using Shine since it was opened. Everyone in the salon is always friendly and welcoming and their service and quality of finish is second to none! I wouldn’t go anywhere else!
