Meandros Health Sports Massage

I am an avid cyclist and have been competing in triathlons for the last 5 years, but during lockdown I injured my hamstring which prevented me from cycling for almost a year. Physio wasn’t helping which was disappointing and the next steps looked like surgery, so I decided to look for a more hands on approach. Mike carried out a detailed assessment and with his wide knowledge of sports injuries he managed to get me back on the bike after only seven sessions. I just want to say thanks to Mike for helping me as I actually thought my cycling days were over. After no activity for almost a year I am getting my fitness back.

I saw Mike with recurring lower back pain. I had tried a range of treatments before including chiropractors and physios. What impressed me most was the time that Mike took to understand the history of my problem, and then provide not only excellent therapy which had immediate benefit and relief, but a tailor made program of exercise to strengthen and rehabilitate my lower back, to the point now where I am pain free and have stronger and more flexible back then I did in my 20s. Had trouble with recurring knee injury. Mike developed a conditioning plan to help strengthen the knee which has allowed me to play high impact sports without trouble. Additionally his in depth knowledge on diet was an added bonus - i feel better than ever - thank you!

Really great and useful experience!Mike was really good in terms of information about how I had got these little injuries and was really good in how to avoid them or recover from them.Opened my eye to different ways of training that can help me become stronger to avoid injuries in the future and with the sports massage I noticed an instant improvement with how my legs were feeling.Really recommend! I came across Mike at Meandros Health, as I needed a deep tissue massage to relieve shoulder/neck pain. Over the last 3 weeks he has managed to alleviate this greatly, given excellent advice on exercises with links to follow, with the latter all done in his own time. Greatly appreciated.
