Volunteering here is no hardship, the players are inspired and inspiring and such great company. We all have such a good time together! It’s amazing to see how much they improve in such a short space of time and can play sport competitively. But the main thing is they get out into the world, exercise, socialise, enjoy life. We all need to do that!

I volunteer with one of the groups that Ability Tennis coach. The coaches are patient, experienced and some if the best people you could wish to meet. The confidence they give the players they coach is a delight to be part of. The smiles on the faces of all the players say it all. They have encouraged people who were pure novices to participate in tournaments and achieve things they never thought they would.

I'd had a taster session of tennis before and really wanted to do more. When I started i felt that i would never get it. Now, i can't wait foreach session, I never thought being totally, blindI would actually be able to do it. My favourite part is serving, I absolutely loving it and i am elated. the way I'm taught makes it easier no matter how many times I get it wrong or don't hit the ball ,there's always another time and no one gets frustrated with me. I don't regret deciding to start playing.
