We have just received the orchid cymbidium princess Charlotte, which is a superb specimen. Also ordered the bark mix and compost mix which is of a high quality. We would highly recommend McBean's Orchids.

If you love orchids then this the place to visit as they have some stunning examples for your enjoyment and purchase along with the items required to keep your orchids healthy and happy!Go and have a look but I make a plea that you leave the little ones in the car as it's no place for prying fingers. December to March is the most visually stunning time to visit but I am sure that you will receive a warm welcome other times as well!

I have always loved McBeans - and was devastated when it seemed as if they were going to close! It's a magical place to me (I always spend too much money when I go) Today was Open Day so we did the tour with one of the growers who imparted some very useful information. There is now a very nice coffee and cake area, which was most enjoyable and yes - you guessed it - I couldn't decide between two cymbidiums and my husband said 'get them both'. How could I refuse!

Very knowledgable and friendly staff. Good selection of orchids. The free tour was useful for growing tips. The orchid house was just about worth the entrance fee. This is free at weekends...
