James watt docks is an excellent place to dock boats, just sitting of the edge of the river Clyde it can be seen here for many types of boats for easy access with 24/7 security and secured gates for extra safety, brilliant place to sit and relax with friends if wanted.

Nice marina with variety of boats. Has a really nice restaurant at the marina also just up the road a bit is a nice place to sit with nice views over to isle of Arran and looking towards Ayr and Addrossan.

Fantastic place for overnight campervan/motorhome parking. Donation for the life boat gladly given. There's separate men's and women's toilets x 2, showers x 2, plus hairdryer & mirror in women's. Separate disabled toilet together with laundry room (washing machine and tumble dryer - tokens from the harbour office). Very clean and staff very friendly.

Some fantastic boats and yaughts mour here. This one arrived few days ago.Very busy marina on the clyde.It has been cleaned up a lot and still had lots to clean up.A fantastic wee snack bar lives on the marina as well called Jax snacks. Very tasty street food.Also it has a charging station for electric cars beside the docs.

Very helpful staff who went out of their way to find information that we wanted. We aren’t used to a city centre type of berth, so it was a bit expensive for our budget. Lots of amenities however and loads of shops within a reasonable walk. Clyde coast? Just fabulous views, and miles and miles of open sea lochs to explore.

So this place when it has yachts in is beautiful. There is signs everywhere to put you off from entering the dock but all the local populatory people visit here in their droves. Right now as of 8/5/22 they have the world's largest private yacht docked and looks amazing. Photos attached. Wheel chair access is shaky but doable.

I went here to buy a tyre privately,and when I turned up ,it was a nice surprise,not bad place to stay either , lucky people
