Ipswich Post Office

Hi went in on Saturday 26/11. Poor man rushed off his feet.but what a great job he was doing very polite and helpful a didn't mind waiting well done.x

Been to this post office today(Sunday at 11am).It was in darkness, no staff.Google says it is open.A lack of any standards.You cant even open when you advertise that you are.And please do not blame covid or the cost of living for this.Nobody cares about customers.

Sent a card to a friend and it was ripped open, and a thief stole a stamp I had enclosed. She said 4 envelopes she received this season were opened. Shame on you postal workers that are stealing enclosed items.

There’s only ever 1 person working every time I’ve gone in there and 1 other person seemingly just faffing around whilst there’s a queue of 6+ people! Waited 15mins and the line had only moved by 2 people. Avoid if you can.Edit: Two of the staff there are lovely, I can’t remember their names but it was a lady & young man. Both super lovely and kind, but unfortunately the other two men bring down the place so much.

Absolutely avoid this post office. The staff have had training in and excell at 'How slow can we go'. Multiple staff serving one customer at a time and doing nothing. Useless. Go somewhere else.

Refused to take my Amazon return without even trying the QR code.

Horrendous, how is this place is even open still when they function at half capacity of what you need from a post office, there always seems to be one person working at once and a massive cue, and to top of wasting your hour lunch break queueing everytime just to send a parcel, the staff are totally unhelpful.

Understaffed and had to wait 45 minutes before I was served.BUTThe lady that was running the centre with a young lad who finished at 3:30 so she was then on her own with tons of customers was incredible. She kept her cool even with an aggravated customer that misunderstood their passport applications and I really wished that she had more staff with her so that she didn't have to deal with so much rubbish.She even felt she had to apologise for the wait which is completely not her fault.This place needs more staff but the customer service I witnessed and received was fantastic.

Never enough staff so the opening hours are unpredictable. When it is open the queue is so long because they’re dealing with the backlog of being closed for lunch/the day before etc. Only ever one person working so self service are frequently disabled too. Most of the time I see signs stating that they won’t be doing passport checks and the like, only the more basic services. Also had several issues with people who no longer seem to work there. Overall customer service is not considered by whoever is in charge of running this branch, as they need to hire more staff and turn it into a fully operational post office!
