I have always been sceptical about online reviews:1. Is the author a friend or relative of the person/service they are reviewing?2. Do they have an axe to grind because they feel that they did not get what they where expecting?2. Are the author’s standards/values similar to mine?With this in mind, I would like to state that I had not met Paul Thompson before he quoted to fit solar panels to my house. I am in my early sixties, have just retired from running my own successful, customer based business, and consequently have the time to devote to fully researching options available for any work to be undertaken on my home.Having received two other quotes I decided to use Thompson Renewables, mainly because their quote had a cost break down of the equipment that was to be used. I naturally checked the price that I could source it for, and Thompson Renewables were cheaper; it was pleasing to know Paul was passing on his bulk discount to the customer.The workforce from Thompson Renewables were unfailingly punctual and reliable, hard-working and courteous, clean and tidy, and crucially finished on schedule. During the short time that they worked at my house they put up with me taking an annoyingly active interest in what they were doing (the joy of being retired and having little else to do) and responded to all my queries with patience and comprehensive answers.
