A must visit to see see key information about the town of much Wenlock.Such an amazing little town in what is in reality in the middle of no where for many years.

This was a really nice little museum telling the story of how the Iron Bridge came to be built, by whom, and also the story of the family who commissioned it!If you are interested in the history of the industrial revolution, then this place is a must to visit!

Nice little Museum / Shop which highlights values of The Iron Bridge / Village. Museum is right next to the Car Park , within the premises of the Car Park you won't be missed. The Rafting point is also nearby. Cheers!

Museum of The Gorge
Set in an old building along side the River Severn is one of the main museum's of Ironbridge.Outside is a huge carpark where you can park the car,take in great views of the bridge itself and then stroll in to town. Unfortunately the museum wasn't really up and running but they were showing a fifteen minute film all about the history of the area and it was well worth watching.The gift shop has the usual pencils,books,tea towels and iron ornaments on offer and the staff all very pleasant.

Museum of The Gorge
Housed in an old warehouse, that used to ship out the iron goods down the river Severn, and now a museum offering exhibition about the local area and the position of the town within its location in this natural gorge. The museum contains a 12 metre model of the gorge as well as a film show on local history.

It's difficult to decide which of the Ironbridge Museums is the best as they are all so good.The way that they have been set up to give a living presentation of the place at the start of the industrial Revolution is excellent, from the shops, engines, both static and the traction engines to the artisans really makes the history accessible to all ages.
