We are extremely disappointed with the service at Jim Oliver’s butchers.Due to the current lockdown my partner and I were very limited on how we could make our anniversary evening special. We decided we would make ourselves a nice meal. Having looked at local butchers Jim Oliver’s looked very promising and having read all the positive reviews we wanted to give it a try!We were served by an older lady who made us feel extremely unwelcome and rushed. Having never been there before and having a rough idea of what we wanted we asked for her recommendation, she was extremely dismissive. She continued to bag up meat that we had not confidently chosen yet without asking us if we wanted it. We then felt pressured to buy it. My partner even felt the need to apologise when asking for additional cuts as she seemed in such a rush to get us out. (There was only one other customer waiting).We are very disheartened as the previous reviews are right, the quality of the meat was great and so were the prices. However you have lost two customers due to the fact that we felt so uncomfortable and unwelcome.

One of the best butchers around fabulous quality meat and great staff, Been buying my meat from here for years never been let let down by taste or quality, Wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

Got a ribeye, sausages and bacon. Honestly best meat I’ve ever had in my life and the prices are super reasonable 10/10

SUPER friendly and clean service. I went in for the first time to get some bone for my dog .I haven't got cash with me that day, Jim asked me to give them next time i come to the shop.And He even asked the size of my dog and cut the bones into small pieces for me. Thank you for your kindness.

I have been using Jim Oliver’s butchers for 3 years now. I have always had excellent service from all the staff. The cuts of meat are excellent. They will cut the meat the way you want it. Steaks for the bbq are always well received as beautifully tender. The bacon is what I like to call proper bacon. Not this thin rice paper cuts that the supermarkets offer. Joints of meat are always top notch. May pay a little more but the quality certainly shows. Highly recommend them.
