Haven't been to the Willy Wicket for at least 10 years went back tonight and had the best experience, our waitress Charlotte was simply the best and went above and beyond to help and please us, was simply brilliant at her job.My husband and I had steaks and they were Cooked exactly how we ordered them, plus lovely chunky crispy chips .Lovely atmosphere, cosy and comfortable. Will definitely not be leaving it for ten years to return .Well done to all concerned

Very nice place to eat. The service staff were cheery and eager to please, nothing too much trouble. The staff catered for my daughter's allergy, although it was a very limited choice. The food was excellent and plentiful. The fish and chips was huge; couldn't finish it! Lovely atmosphere. Would definitely go again.

Nice oldy worldy pub. Plenty of parking and seating when we visited for lunch. Service was friendly and good. We had a hot sandwich that was presented well. Filling was good. The roll/ bread was little too rustic for our liking, and we both found it heavy going. Would have preferred a soft roll or bread, given the choice. Don't forget to enter your car reg when at the bar to avoid a fine. The signage about this is fairly prominent, so we did.

Booking of 30 people, we were very impressed! Every single meal we ordered was correct, even down no pickles in the burgers. The service from James, Abbie and Hollie was amazing so a massive thank you. And to the chefs as well! We all had a lovely evening and will definitely be returning!

We were a party of 15 booked in for an evening meal - and had to start slightly late owing to traffic in the ring road. Our server, Holly, was unflappable and patient as we waited for our last few folk to arrive. The food was really good and served promptly, and Holly was most attentive in making sure everyone got drinks as well. Overall a great experience - we will be back!

Unfortunately, a very disappointing experience this evening for a festive family meal for 5 people. From us first arriving at the restaurant they were unaware that we had booked and paid a deposit for a festive booking. We ordered drinks, which took a variety of times to arrive with one taking at least half an hour for lemonade! We ordered our starters and main course at the same time to try and save a little time later on. The starters then took an hour to come, despite the wait the starters were nice. The main course then took another hour to arrive, after multiple questions of what the wait would be, as we were not advised. The area we were sat in was by the fire which was not on but was very cold, we asked for it to be put on as it advises from a small notice on it, however this was not responded to. The main courses were different to what was said on the menu and some elements were cold, with one of the 5 taking a further 20 mins to arrive. We gave up on ordering deserts as we would have ended up there for probably another hour, ended up going to the bar to pay the bill after taking so long. To which they forgot to take the deposit off until prompted and also take off an item that they sold but were actually sold out of. We won't be returning there as there are many other options nearby where I'm sure we will have a better time.

We visited as part of a party of 20 for a Christmas meal. A lovely Christmassy atmosphere, delicious food and plenty of it, crackling fire and even quality crackers! We had a few individual requirements with extra sides, extra gravy/no gravy, gluten free, no brandy sauce/extra ice-cream, last minute chip order, no cranberry sauce in the burger and all but one of those was dealt with perfectly (the cranberry sauce was in the burger but another was cooked, instead of just removing the sauce). Sophie was friendly and professional, she even went outside to check on the orders of some of the party who'd gone out for some fresh air. Just a couple of hiccups, a delay with one Christmas turkey meal being served and a gravy spillage on one of our party by another member of staff, has knocked a star off for service but the waiter couldn't have been more apologetic. We had a really lovely time and would happily return.

I went with six friends. It was my first time at the Willy Wicket. My main complaint would be was the food was not hot in the slightest. We all had the Christmas dinner and if it had been hotter I think I may have enjoyed it. Also my dinner had obviously been split as all the gravy had gone over the edge so the plate was messy. I had to ask for gravy to go with the dinner. The dessert was not a lot better, apple pie and custard. It again was barely warm . If I had not been with friends I would have sent both meals back. I go to the Globe in Bath and the Brassmill in Keynsham quite often and have never had this problem. I am also going to The Globe in Bath next week for another Christmas/birthday meal so it will be interesting to compare the two meals.
