Lanchester Library

Aspretto coffee shop within library is the worse. Baristas have no idea about doing coffee:D I wanted wet(no foam) latte and they giving me double foam cappuccino all the time or even I mentioned I dont want a foam for hot chocolate, they all the time make it sooo foaming. These guys needs a training. Also why these barista girls giving attitude for no reason?

It is a brilliant library! I love how its design and facilities. From this library you can borrow a laptop, a book, have a coffee and a snack while studying and enjoy spending time with your friends. Outside of this library is a beautiful small lake with plants and birds. However, this library is mainly for Coventry University students and staff. Sometimes there are open days organised for visiting if you are not a Coventry University member. Lastly, a bad point is the Library's staff members, part of them are rude and not helpful.

I love this place in uni. It's build with modern amenities. All students different requirements is fulfilled. All 4 floors are build for different usage.

Brilliant library, when I go in the evening times the security is great. Amazing resources and easy layout. Great places for quite study and also group work.

Horrible receptionist!! Never seen such incompetence ever!!Honestly wasted so much of my time - I came in on a guest pass as their systems were down so couldnt set my sconul.My eduroam didn't work so I asked if I could get a guest username and password in order to use the firebird wifi. They said they were unable to do this and must ring their IT department. I rang their IT department right in front of them who said the library are always the ones who must request setting up a username and password for the wifi.The woman then brought out a senior woman who then proceeded to try to tell me that I should have said that initially ( which is what I did - I said I wanted to use the guest wifi as my eduroam was not working ??? ).They then decided to spend ages discussing whether I was allowed to have a guest one day pass for a username and password for the wifi EVEN THOUGH I HAD COME IN WITH A GUEST PASS ??????I had not come to the library as a sconul student as it wasnt able to have been set up so I had literally come in on a guest pass and now theyre saying because I am a potential sconul student I cannot have guest access ???Even though I had rang IT, explained this to them and then they said I should then get the library to request guest access.She then gave me the form and I filled it in and she scoffed uttering I cant even read this ?"She then spent 30 minutes clicking on the computer to "request access" for me and then eventually rang IT herself to ask whether I was able to have permission to use the guest as I am a "potential" sconul student even though I had come in on a guest pass ??? And she already knew I was allowed as I put IT on loud speaker and she spoke to them herself from my phone.So she wasted 30 minutes on purpose and then requested access for me - throughout the whole time constantly saying "theres no point because it only lasts a day and they wont grant u access until tomorrow because theyre soooo busy and they wont approve it til a days time so"They approved it in 5 minutes.In total she wasted 50 minutes of my time and had such a bad attitude the entire time. Wish I got her name but she was white and of british ethnicity and had glasses - she is not someone I would want to represent a space where people are meant to feel welcomed and able to access services. And her senior colleague in the back was as equally rude. Its not difficult to accept you are wrong and have made a mistake. And its certainly NOT okay to be rude and have a bad attitude or purposefully waste peoples time."

Nice place with lots of facilities for students. Do visit the library for your own personal space for studies too. Quiet places and group study and so much to do.
