2 years later i finally made the decision to have Lens Replacement. This was not a decision i took lightly. Over the course of the last 2 years i visited two consultants at 2 different clinics. On both occasions i left with doubts about surgery and did not feel confident enough to go ahead. There was just something that didn't feel right.The research continued and I found Mr Shafiq Rehman. On meeting Mr Rehman, which due to Covid was via Zoom, i immediately felt at ease and he understood my end goals and the reason for surgery. After discussing various options we concluded that lens replacement was right for me.My surgery was in early November 2020 and to say i was nervous was a understatement. From the moment of entering the clinic to meeting Mr Rehman i felt i was in safe hands. During the operation i was told at every point everything that was happening. It was over so quickly and no pain at all.I opened my eyes and although blurred i could see without my glasses. I went home and sat amazed i could see the TV and read messages on my phone.I had no side effects in fact every day i would wake up thinking wow this has changed my life. My only wish is i had done it years ago. As regards the fear of the operation i wasted hours of worry for nothing.I would definitely recommend Mr Rehman and his team.and visited two clinics prior to my surgery with Mr Shafiq Rehman.

I had replacement lens surgery some six years ago and it was recently found that the lens were from a manufacturer's faulty batch, so they had to be refitted. Whilst it was explained to me this procedure had more potential problems than the original surgery it all exceeded my expectations and my eyesight has significantly improved. The surgeon and support staff at Optegra Manchester were 100%.

I found that wearing glasses over many years had become problematic. As a pilot and motorcyclist I have to wear a helmet and could never find the ideal solution which lens replacement has been.My wife had the same procedure with Mr Rehman some years ago because of cataracts and she has found no issues.The whole experience was efficient and I see the world in a much brighter clearer way than before.If you are hesitating at all please be assured you will be in excellent hands

My experience was wonderful from start to finish, the staff were so professional and I felt safe and secure under the current circumstances.Everyone made me so welcome and comfortable.Mr Rehman explained everything before and during my surgery which put me totally at ease and helped me relax.The procedure was fast and the best thing I could have done, I now see a bright and clear future thanks to Mr Rehman and all the staff at Optegra Manchester.
