Ruschil & Bailly

I was impressed with Ruschil and Bailly from the moment I found their website online and have not been disappointed since then.From my initial enquiry (which was answered within the hour) to going to collect my newly refurbished violin (full clean and retouching of bare wood, new bridge, strings and topnut) everything went very smoothly.Thank you, Antoni, for the time you took to discuss all the various options with me and for your excellent customer service, personal attention and skilful restoration work. I am delighted with my instrument's new sound and new look.For me, the glowing reviews on this site proved to be an accurate reflection of the service you provided and I am very pleased to be able to add my own comments to them.

Antoni does beautiful work. I was lucky enough to have the chance to play his King Arthur cello while he worked on my cello. It is an absolutely beautiful instrument. And his work on my cello was perfect. I'm so glad to have discovered him.

After reading positive reveiws on the Ruschil & Bailly website, I consulted Antoni about a problem with coarseness across the upper strings of my violin. This became apparent following some restoration work completed several years ago. We explored the possible reasons for this and Antoni then made some ajustments to the instrument the following week. The result has been remakable. Sound production is more evenly balanced and much smoother. After a frustrating few years my violin has once again become a pleasure to play.

My daughter's violin had a broken string that Antoni kindly replaced in a few minutes.You would need to call for an appointment before and you can pay by card. Perfect service. Thank yoi

Having had a service with another luthier, when I collected my violin something had changed with the overall sound. Feeling quite desperate I did some research and discovered Ruschil and Bailly.I booked a 'sound adjusting' session with Antoni and after a very thorough and enjoyable half hour or so my violin sound was not only restored but much improved!My wife also at Antoni's recommendation bought a 'Krentz wolf note modulator for her viola and on inserting it today the wolf note on the 'A note' on the D string his gone.

Antoni is very professional and knowledgeable. The new bridge Antoni craft for my violin made it sings beautifully. His workshop is very nice and comfortable. You will also find friendly pets there as your company. Highly recommend if you need a luthier or new instrument.

Took my violin in for a top nut replacement and tone adjustment. Antoni's professionalism and service were excellent, and he took the time to listen and adjust my instrument's sound to exactly what I needed. Would highly recommend.

I wholeheartedly recommend Antoni to any potential client - his standard of work is impressively high, whether that be in adjustments, restoration or new makes. What really stood out to me was that he takes the time to carefully listen to his clients to understand what they are looking for in their instrument - and not just in terms of playability but really in terms of making the instrument work as best as it can for the specific individual. I recommended him to a friend of mine recently who also spoke very highly of him - his violin unexpectedly needed a repair just before a gig and without hesitation Antoni lent him a violin of his own, and when he collected his violin again and they adjusted the sound together, he was blown away by the difference they were able to achieve.

Fantastic service provided by Antoni. I took my cello to Ruschil & Bailly for some advice about repairs. He recommended a few updates and adjustments and it’s now looking and sounding beautiful. Really professional and friendly, and a very skilled luthier. I’d highly recommend!
