The China Chef

Tbh we was not happy last meal got things did'nt order & did'nt get wat we did order! Got told £42 on phone was £47 just over! Shame over 30 years getting take away from here, to exspencive not to enjoy! Sorry

We always get from china chef and had one tonight and it was unbelievable! The BEST Chinese I've ever had! Me and my partner couldn't stop saying o my god to how good it tasted!

Always great food and very polite service, I collect on my way home and food always hot and fresh. Recommend the salt and chilli ribs.

Not impressed, food very mediocre. Egg fried rice was boiled rice with tiny bits of egg... Beef in black bean sauce was bland and chewy, fillet beef singapore style was awful, chips were gross. If locals think this is good food... I feel you have no idea what good takeaway Chinese food is, never again. Would score 1 star if I could.

Ordered a large amount of food last night (£85 worth) and it was all awful. Phoned to inform them and very dismissive and rude, no apology, offer to put right.Order was wrongChow mein massively over cooked- microwaved - all sloppy, little flavourBeef in black bean - very tough meat and no flavourRibs completely dry and deep friedNo ginger vinegar with grilled dumplinsSpecial Rice was bland and dry (no egg, like boiled rice with a few bits thrown in)Every thing was rubbery like it had been microwaved to within an inch of its life.Worst Chinese I have ever had - 1 Star was too Much, but couldn't leave review without it

Ordered some food last night as had meals in the past and it was ok . Well I have never in my life had a Singapore noodles with bloody big lumps of TINNED SPAM in it! it's even curved on the ends where it's come out of the tin. Food was not good some was cold and very small portions although it's gone 20% up since my last order a few months ago. Never will I use them again

Had the ribs and they were tough and sparse, one had just a sliver of meat down one side and the barbecue sauce was fluorescent red and tasted of sweet and sour sauce. The pork was tough and the rest of the meal was so bland it just melded in together.Dad was up, very poorly in the night. Awful.

The food from here is absolutely disgusting! The spring rolls are just deep fried batter, the “crispy” duck is soggy, the noodles and rice taste like they have been microwaved. I could go on. Very disappointed. Spent £50 on the worst chinese I’ve ever had.

The staff were lovely.My order was simple. I know what I am eating when it comes to Chinese as I try and replicate the restaurant experience at home.The ingredients were barely cooked and I recogonised the brand from a super market.Chinese Tofu is cut into small pieces and fried, with vegetables and then a home made sauce is added. In this case is was super market tofu cut into giant chunks with what tasted just like blue dragon stir sauce. Heated in a microwave.The vegetables of which there very few tasted of supermarket frozen vegetables - that frozen to heated taste without time to absorb flavour -It was horrible to eat Im sorry to say. It was a delivery.The CHOP SUEY was nothing but bean sprouts - a huge cause for botulism and not what I had asked for - I wanted broccoli with my mushrooms. I may have got one or two mushrooms and one piece of broccoli and Im not exaggerating!As a vegetarian I asked for Singapore noodles with vegetables. These arrived as regular egg noodles, again you buy from a shop with no vegetables. This is the worst delivery I have ever had. I am sorry guys I have to tell it like it is. I threw it all away. What a waste of money. You could have earned yourself a loyal weekly customer.Put more effort in. All the best for the future as you seem like decent people!
