One of the best tasting sourdough breads I've had in UK & Canada. Worth the visit to Stockport! Also excellent coffee & courteous, friendly bakers.

The bread is amazing. The table loaf is massive and stays fresh for days (and freezes well)The evening menu & wine is also incredible.

Loved the coziness- being able to see the kitchen in the middle made for such a comfortable and unique experience. All staff were super friendly. The service was incredible and attentive, the food was outstanding. Every single dish that arrived was perfect, really reasonably priced considering the quality and taste. Wine list was extensive, plenty of choice. Definitely a restaurant I would recommend to others! Thankyou so much for a 10/10 evening!

We've made several trips here, and every time, I feel like I'm interrupting them. Not rude, just discourteous. Also, only making flat whites is rather pretentious, and a disservice to stockport. I don't want to sound like a customer moaning for the sake of it, but there are some very basic errors being made. These rectified would ensure the return of a loyal fan base to an area that so desperately needs it.

This bakery/cafe is in a great location and could be perfect however there are a few ways it falls down. Firstly only serving one type of coffee - a flat white - there seems space enough for a machine that can make a cappuccino & a latte at least, the coffee offering is underwhelming considering it’s a cafe. Secondly and most importantly the staff, I have visited several times and also brought friends with me and every time we are met with an unwelcome don’t want you here attitude. I always feel as though there girls who work here are looking down on us and I agree with the last reviewer that it feels like i’m an inconvenience to them. Real shame as the food is great.

I’ve never had a pleasant experience here. I have visited about 3 or 4 times now, and the coffee and pastries are great, and it’s a lovely setting with great aesthetics, but I always seem to get treated as an inconvenience to the staff members when I make an order. It does feel like I’m not the right type of customer that they want to bring in. Because it’s happened a few times now, I don’t think it’s a bad day type scenario. It’s a real shame as it’s great for Stockport otherwise. I know go to the Polish Bakery in the market as preference. The pastries are different but the staff are great. Makes a massive difference.

Very nice place, friendly staff and out of this world coffee. I was very impressed with the coffee and the brioches.

Had some of their bread at the remarkable Where The Light Gets In. So decided to buy a rye loaf and a very large sourdough table loaf for £13. The rye was so under cooked as to be inedible. The table loaf had a piece of wood on it (see picture). Emailed the shop and was just ignored. Avoid.
