One of the most useful shops in Oxford. Most of what they sell is on display and if you don't know what you want their staff are knowledgeable and eager to assist. Please support them. To lose them would be like the loss of Gill and Co.

I don't very often go here however I needed an obscure part for three radiators, they didn't have the whole part but thanks to the excellent range of items instore I managed to repair my issue thanks to the member of staff who sorted me out for the whole price of £1.35. Best independent hardware shop in Oxford.

Brilliant little shop, has absolutely everything, really helpful and knowledgeable staff, feels a bit like stepping back in time going in. A proper hardware store or ironmonger's like there used to be lots of. Great place for finding missing pieces, cables, odd screws, batteries, and fixing things up. Really convenient that it has a car park, too. Thoroughly recommend.

Great store. Friendly, helpful, knowledgeable staff. The shop looks small, but the have a huge variety of products from bicycles, tools, plumbing, light bulbs, et cetera. I needed help with a DIY faucet replacement and they gave me advice, answered my many questions, helped me solve problems I encountered, and found the right products for me.

The guys at Smith & Low all know their stuff when it comes to DIY, tools, leads, nuts & bolts, electricals, you name it!I don’t think I’ve ever had to order anything in specifically as they seem to always have whatever I’ve needed in stock.Prices here are reasonable if not cheaper that what you might expect, without compromising on quality.Fast and friendly service.I’ve been shopping here for over 20 years, and locally S&L are known as a good store for DIY/electrical products.Parking spaces available at the rear of the store or on Crescent Road.I’d highly recommend shopping here.

I use Smith & Low in a regular basis for work. Every time I go there I feel like a little kiddy in a sweet shop. The guys there are fantastic. Always helpful, and a good laugh. I find that if they don't have it, it's not worth having anyway! Well done guys!

Toys R Us for grown-up’s! I love going to S&L even if there’s nothing I really need ‘cos it’s just great to see all the stuff they’ve got. Friendly, knowledgable staff make this a rare place. I will shop here before I go to the big, national DIY stores, not just because it’s on my doorstep, but these guys deserve the business. Long may they survive.
