Good location , close big car park. Didn't eat anything just have a alcohol free cocktail which wasn't very nice. Prices quite higher than other places around . Nice bear garden. Was clean.

We had a great Father and son meal here. The food was delicious and fairly priced. Very clean and upscale feeling to the pub while keeping a classic pub atmosphere.Chicken burger with rainbow slaw had a great range of flavours and tasted very fresh. The children's menu provided something different to the classic chicken nuggets and my boy enjoyed the chicken thigh. Mash potatoes were a bit dry but the rest of the meal filled him up well.

We went with friends for a meal. The pub has a lovely old fashioned atmosphere, beams, stone floors etc.The food was great and served by friendly staff who were efficient and helpful. The steak and Ale pie was lovely and the chocolate brownie with granola really good. Would highly recommend this pub

early evening meal for a birthday celebration.we had a very pleasant meal, very minor issue with dry chips and mushy peas, but really not so bad as to warrant a complaint. the pub was pleasantly busy for a Wednesday, with a mix of tourists and locals.all the staff we met made us feel welcome and offered a good service without being obtrusive.all in all a very good experience.

Top pub! Came in here by chance after a day out in town and it was a great find. Nice welcoming atmosphere, really friendly staff and the food was very good quality. Lovely pint of ale to top it off! Would definitely come back if I was in the area again. Highly recommended!

This is a lovely ye olde England type pub, the food is great, but in my opinion a bit overpriced. A good range of beers and wines, big open warm fireplaces and a great place to relax. Clean toilets

Called in for lunch. I had a small haddock and thick chips , my wife had veal faggots. Both dishes were very tasty and of good size portions. The service was excellent and the pub itself was warm with a cosy atmosphere. The prices were very reasonable , two two course meals plus drinks £50 , excellent value for money. Recommended.

Went into the Bear on Friday evening (15th December ) for a meal as we had friends visiting , food and beer were good and a mention to Maxine who served us , although it was busy she was happy , polite and very smiley.I think the toilets ( especially the disabled ) could have been a bit cleaner and both could do with redecorating , but I also appreciated how hard it is to keep a standard up with a busy pub.Overall then it was a very pleasant evening and I would happily recommend it if you are a local or visiting Cirencester.
