From having few practical skills I have enjoyed taster sessions in Block Paving, Brick Laying and Plastering. All the staff are friendly, courteous and above all patient. The centre has excellent facilities, is clean, modern and inviting

My tutor for the introduction to construction course for my CSCS card was Becky Carey. She was fantastic with her teaching and being able to relate to everyone. Everyone received help individually and there was no one left struggling at any point. No bad words to say about the process or the tutor.

This is a great place for learning specific skills and techniques. The staff at derby skills academy are patient, professional and they care about each and every student. The free food is a bonus as well.

I really liked the course that I attended here it has taught me a lot of new skills I need for the future. The people such as Steve White and Lesley Simpson are very supportive and helpful with anything that you may need help with I think it’s an amazing place to come and do courses at.

The last 6weeks all together starting with the CSCS course and then L2 Plastering, I have really enjoyed the course learning new skills. All staff are very easy to talk to and get along with, a lot of laughs and jokes and I will miss each one of you :)
