I called Carshalton Boilers for a quote on a maintenance contract, I explained to them the brand and model of the boiler and the age, they gave me a price of £275 and we arranged for an engineer to survey the boiler and radiators. The engineer took the boiler apart and could not see any issues and even commented on how good it was, likewise the radiators and valves also passed. When the engineer called the office he was told that they would not put me on a maintenance contract as the boiler was too old but now I would have to pay the boiler service/survey cost of £108 what a nifty way to make money, why did they give me a quote despite the fact that I had told them the age of the boiler in addition to the fact that the engineer could not see any issue with it. What a way to entice people then rip them off. Stay well clear

Removed old boiler and replaced with new. Renewed all radiator thermostats. Tested everything and cleaned up. Perfect.

The filter for our central heating system needed to be replaced and the Carshalton Boilers engineer, Sean, did an excellent job. He arrived on time, carried out the work in a faster time than had been quoted for, and to a high standard, and was pleasant and professional throughout. He cleaned up before he left and didn’t mind answering questions.

On 21 Sep, I had a regular boiler maintenance and MagnaClean Filter cleaning with Carshalton Boilers. Paul turned up in the morning. After around 1 and a half hour, Paul told me the service was completed but he didn’t clean up the MagnaClean filter because he requires Magnaclean’s service kit but he didn’t have it right now. Besides, Paul told me the boiler fan was noisy. Paul suggested me to consider replacing the boiler fan (and he didn’t have the fan right now so can’t replace it now.). Then next time when he comes to replace the fan, he can bring the MagnaClean service kit and clean the filter.I arranged to replace the boiler fan and clean Magnaclean filter on 4 Oct. On 4 Oct when Paul arrived, he took out the MagnaClean’s service kit and told me he will not going to clean the filter, he just supplied the kit for me to clean by myself. Ah, that’s a shock to me. I told him he agreed to do the filter cleaning on last visit and this was double confirmed with their customer service. At the end, Paul replied he would first replace the fan and then see if he could clean the filter. Paul still didn’t confirmed he would clean the filter.After half an hour, Paul told me he replaced the fan, cleaned the MagaClean filter, but the MagnaClean’s valve is now leakage (drops and drops of water coming out from the valve). He said because of the leakage, he has to switch off the boiler and my home needs to change to use emersion heating. Paul said he can’t fix the leakage now. The only solution was either replace the valve/O ring or replace with a new MagnaClean. Again, he didn’t have the valve/O ring now and can’t fix immediately. However, there is a screw in the value. I asked Paul whether he can tighten the screw in the valve to fix the leakage. Paul insisted the screw is just to fix the valve in the position, tighten the screw can’t fix the leakage. He insisted his view and not even bother a try to tighten the screw given the condition that the boiler needs to shutdown under the current situation. Finally, he showed me where to turn on the emersion heating, he said your company will give me a quote to fix the leakage tomorrow and then he left.In the evening, my son found the MagnaClean’s valve was loosen. He used a screw driver to tighten the screw, then no more leakage from the valve. And then I turned on the boiler. The boiler worked and no more leakage in the MagnaClean valve. I really questioned why the screw will suddenly loosen in a way that caused the leakage.Very unprofessional boiler maintenance service and intended to charge me THREE times with different reasons. DO NOT use this company under any circumstances.

Excellent. Especially as the person who came before did no work and defrauded meof £1275 . He wasnt from the company he ssid he was.Carshalton Boilers were excellent.

As a company we found them very helpful and reasonably priced.We had a gas leak in a feed pipe buried in a concrete floor which was not repairable. A replacement pipe was installed above ground very neatly.Darren who was the engineer that did the installation was polite, helpful, tidy and did a very good job. All in all we would use them again.

Carshalton Boilers have once again provided a fantastic service. A seal went on the boiler, so the boiler had to be shut down. The part was ordered immediately, and Leigh the engineer came back 2 days later. Fitted the part and got us up and running again. I have used Carshalton Boilers for over 40 years, they have never let me down. I would not hesitate to recommend them. Consistent, honest and reliable. A pleasure to do business with them

I had previously been a long standing customer with no issues. Annual boiler service was done on the 13th Sep and everything seemed fine. On the weekend of the 14th Oct the heating was put on for the first time and it became apparent that there was an issue with the pressure. Called them and an appointment was made for the 20th Oct. Chap turned up was there for 10 mins and said that we needed a new pressure release valve !!! Carshalton Boilers tried to charge me £100.00 for this despite the boiler being serviced 5 weeks previously !! Same chap came round on the 27th Oct and declared that there was also a crack in the flue and the boiler could not be used at all. When we asked why these issues were not picked up during the service, he got very defensive and aggressive saying it's not my fault" and walked out. It's very convenient that this has only happened after the warranty had expired. Over the weekend the controller is now telling me there is a fan fault !! Called then on Monday to advise the latest problem
