Stockport War Memorial Art Gallery
A small gallery and the length of time you spend is dependent on the exhibitions. There are three exhibition rooms and one of them was in use by an art group so I didn't wish to intrude. The gallery staff are very friendly and the Gallery obviously takes pride in presenting very thought provoking exhibitions - the two I saw today focuses on displacement from home and ancestral lands.

This war memorial cum art gallery use a hidden gem. If you have an hour to spare pop in and enjoy the galleries. Much bigger than it looks from the outside. The downstairs gallery varies it's exhibitions quite frequently with showcasing of local art. Well worth a visit.

Absolutely glorious tribute to the heroes of war. The fallen heroes who made our lives safer and peaceful. Loved the tranquility and humbling tribute to Stockport heroes who gave their lives so we can have the lives we have at present.

This is small memorial but very striking when you enter, visited on rememberance Sunday and it made you proud with the amount of people that showed u p to pay there respects, the march, the band's and all of the group's were fantastic.

This was a great find as we were on a leisure walk through Stockport. Impressive building with great presentation from the street. It combines both an art gallery exhibition and war memorial. Staff were very knowledgeable and helpful with recommendations.
