I have been eating here for almost ten years.The Tandoori Crediton has ruined Indian for me. Wherever I travel in the world, I have never found an Indian restaurant that cooks food as good. To order an Indian anywhere else is a waste of money and is an insult to Indian cuisine.Those who complain about long waiting times; if food is cooked fresh to order then it will take time to cook. If you want to eat premade or frozen foods then eat elsewhere.This is a fantastic family run business who pride in their product and it is reflected on the plate.

We stopped in on a midweek evening for a meal, we ordered a selection of curries with sides.It took a short while for the food to come out but it was worth the wait, all the dishes were served nice and hot, with pre warmed plates to start.We had a chicken korma, lamb dansak, chicken bhuna and a chicken tikka rajala a selection of rice, sag aloo and naans.The flavours of the curries were very rich and all had a very generous amount of meat.Highly recommended and we will return.

Crediton Tandoori Restaurant & Take Away
This restaurant is a real jewel & pride of all Indian restaurants in the south west. Food was very tasty & cooked in authentic Indian style without too much oil & colouring agents.The owner Mahaveer was very friendly & courteous. The service was excellent and the music was very pleasant. Best part was it’s not expensive at all, very reasonable & portions are generous too!!We would highly recommend this restaurant.

Lovely atmosphere.Great tasty food.Prices were incredibly low especially considering the quality food, location & what we've been paying recently on our tour of the beautiful South England.Best authentic Indian songs I've heard in a true Indian restaurant.

Crediton Tandoori Restaurant & Take Away
Great food and service. Witnessed a really rude customer there this evening who was lucky not to be ejected after his attitude and even helping himself to a draught beer when the staff were absent briefly from the bar. A real idiot. They dealt with him so respectfully and in a way most would have refused to serve him and throw him out. Love this place, the food and staff. Wouldn’t go anywhere else for a curry.

This place never seizes to astound me. Second to worst possible customer experience and such lovely food! It was my second visit. At least this time the owner wasn't rowing with the bartender.Owner and the young waiter have no manner comparable to widely known customer service, from thumbs in the dishes he carries to you, to just bringing something and walking away before any eye contact can be made. Other tables being served prior to ours was also not great.Food however is to die for. Food is their only saving grace.If you eat in, you can observe the crowds coming to collect takeaways, owner running after them realising he had given out someone else's bag. Super entertaining.It's in the main street with lots of parking available.It's a shame I took no photos of my dishes as they would show the restaurant's strong point.

Crediton Tandoori Restaurant & Take Away
While the exterior is very plain, the interior was very comfortable, clean and pleasant to sit in. The menu had a wide variety of dishes and styles of preparation, clearly marked as to level of heat, which was very useful when trying to decide which dishes best suited. The food was served piping hot and was delicious. Even if you are not familiar with Tandoori cooking, I would recommend that you try it. It won't disappoint!

First and foremost, the food is awesome! Highly recommended for a nice Indian meal, of the two times I’ve been it hasn’t disappointed when it comes to food.It loses a star due to their level of service. They struggle with larger tables and are very slow. We had to ask for things a number of times. Order was largely correct, barring just the one error.Would 100% recommend if you’re just 2 or 4 or looking for a takeaway. Would still recommend with a larger group, but expect the service to be somewhat slower.
