Rachel de Cock Singing Lessons

I’ve had lessons with Rachel for a number of years and can confidently say you will never find a more professional, friendly and talented teacher! Through my lessons Rachel has taken me from a complete beginner to someone who feels confident performing whilst developing engaging performance skills and sound vocal technique. Lessons are centred around my personal goals and preferences and Rachel has a talent for encouraging personal development in a comfortable and fun way. Whether you are brand new to singing or an experienced performer I would fully recommend Rachel’s lessons which can now be taught online as well as in person.

I have only been having singing lessons with Rachel for a couple of months but I have already noticed a big improvement in my singing, vocal technique and my confidence. Rachelhas made me feel very comfortable during my lessons, she is warm, welcoming, encouraging and makes lessons fun! Rachel is definitely the best singing teacher and group leader that I have known. She is very enthusiastic and makes our sessions truly joyful. Also, it is a real privilege to be taught be someone with such a depth and such range of knowledge of music. I have learnt so much about songs and singers as well as improving my own singing.

Rachel is a great teacher. She creates a comfortable atmosphere, she focuses on each individual’s skills and style and adapts the lessons according to that. Highly recommend!

Rachel is absolutely lovely to work with. She very quickly assesses where you are, what you need and how you can move forward. Her observations are spot on and her direction is clear and specific. I have been having singing lessons with Rachel for some time now, and I couldn’t ask for a better teacher. I feel very encouraged, heard and supported in each session, and am always given constructive advice and tips that instantly make a difference. I can feel myself making real progress through her guidance. I was nervous to start singing again after a few negative experiences, but Rachel has really helped me find my voice. She is also incredibly friendly and makes every lesson fun! I would recommend her to anyone who wants to improve, or who might be nervous about starting. I can't praise my singing lessons with Rachel enough. I've been wanting to have singing lessons for years, and coming to Rachel to finally do so has been a wonderful experience. Always such a professional, supportive and encouraging experience - standing there and just solo singing as an ammatuer can feel very daunting - but Rachel is amazing at putting you at ease. Her years of experience and talent just shines through, and I leave every lesson feeling inspired.Life can be challenging at times, and coming to my weekly lessons offers more than learning new skills, it's a space for some time out, and some therapeutic creative focus.Thankyou so much Rachel. :)

For decades, I believed I could not sing in tune. Rachel agreed to meet me to see what she could do to help me. I set her a very modest goal: I said I'd like to be able to sing Happy Birthday in tune to my children and grandchildren.She quickly discovered I could not match a note she played on the piano, but then she sang the note she was playing and I tried again. She assured me I had sung perfectly in tune with her. I shed tears of joy. This is only one example of why I regard her as a great teacher. Moments later, we were singing Happy Birthday together, and I was singing in tune (and wiping my eyes!). By the end of lesson one, she had me singing an Elvis song to a karaoke backing track.She's now helping me learn to play chords on a guitar to accompany my singing, and I'm currently learning three songs. Now, when she's helping me warm up my voice, I can match a note she plays on the piano! When I started less than three months ago, I could never have imagined how far I have come already.For every difficulty I face on my amazing musical journey, Rachel has constructive suggestions that help me move on. I cannot speak too highly of her.
