Russell's Plaice Highcliffe
A great little fish stall run by the fisherman who catches the fish that they sell. Extremely friendly staff who are really helpful. They will prepare the fish as you want it; gut, fillet, butterfly etc.The best thing is you know the fish is always fresh.

This place is the hidden gem of Highcliffe that is worth getting up early for.Russell has provided me with a variety of fish every week; bass, carp, haddock, cod, trout, plaice, bream and my now favorite fish that I had never heard of before- skate.I stopped buying fish at the supermarket now- Tesco must think I've gone vegetarian

MagnificentUPDATED Sept 2023What can I say? Russell's Plaice has become my goto place for fresh fish & shellfish. They are consistently friendly and have fish of excellent quality.A trip to Highcliffe early on a Saturday morning has become a regular thing and whatever is on the slab usually decides what we might be eating at home that weekend.I can't praise it highly enough. Well worth a visit.

Amazing. Had a shellfish platter as per the picture, very reasonably priced. I eat a lot of sea food and these were by far the best prawns I have ever had. I absolutely recommend a visit and will be going again soon.

I’ve heard local people moan at the cost and all I can say is they must be off their rockers!! What a great little business. My daughter and I shop here most Saturdays taking it in turn to collect. We’ve had bream, bass, cod and plaice and it’s all been magnificent. Order during the week collect on Saturday and it’s in the pan Saturday night what could be better Happy Days
