Bowland & Bay

Took a friend from Bristol out on one of Katie's tours just before Christmas and it was phenomenal. The diversity and breadth of artisanal talent in Lancashire is incredible and Katie brings it all to life. We sampled locally-produced gin, cheese, seafood, and of course ale! Really impressed and will certainly book again later this year.

What a beautiful part of England to explore. We didn't know what to expect as we received this as a gift. Katie took us on a very interesting tour exploring home made gin and some great venues eating locally sourced food. Can highly recommend this.

We had a fantastic half day in Lancashire with Katie last Thursday.It was just the four of us on our own private tour, and a grand time was had by all!It was so much fun, the pre-tour lunch at The Cartford Inn, the cheese at Mrs Kirkham's, the gin tasting at the Wild Fox, the Brooks gelato at the Farm on the fell (fantastic views a wonderful bonus!), Honeywells Farm Shop and the Smokehouse at the Port of Lancaster (wish I could have bottled that wonderful aroma!). And then to finish it all off at the Farmyard Brew Co, a hidden gem in the middle of nowhere, and a real proper pub to boot! Who knew?!It was a magical afternoon, unlike any other, and we can't thank Katie enough for laying on such a fantastic experience for us.Her enthusiasm and passion for all things Lancashire is a joy.We wish her all the very best for the continued success of this very special and unique venture, and we would heartily recommend this to anyone with an interest in eating, drinking and making merry!Thank you so much to Katie for an amazing foodie experience. This is my second trip out with Katie. It was completely different but equally brilliant. I am vegetarian and Katie tailored the tour perfectly. We had a wonderful mix of amazing food and drinks, gorgeous scenery and fascinating local history. It is a lovely way to spend time with friends.

My wife arranged a tour as a birthday surprise. We had a great time and enjoyed all the locations and their offerings. Katie was the perfect host who had everything in hand to make it a stress free day. I can strongly recommend these tours which Katie will arrange to fit your specific interests.

We've just been on the half day Lancashire tour with Katie. It's been a wonderful day out. Just four of us on this tour, which was nice because you get a good chance to chat both with Katie and with fellow foodies. Our tour, which can be adapted to suit, started from Northcote in the Ribble Valley and took in fantastic food and drink venues in the area, Inglewhite, Goosnargh, Great Eccleston and Garstang. The cheese, cakes, gin, lunch, more cheese and ice cream were all fantastic. Thoroughly recommend this tour. Very impressed. We will sign up for the Cumbria one too. Katie is a very friendly and informative host. We wish her the best and hope this becomes a truly successful venture. There is a plethora of wonderful small artisanal food and drink businesses in Lancashire and it's great to see that they are being championed by Bowland and Bay tours.

Spent the day with the family on the Lancashire and Cumbria tour. Katie has put together a wonderful program of everything from brunch to bakeries to Michelin restaurants. Highly recommend!

Had a fabulous time with Katie on the half-day Lancashire foodie tour earlier this week. Brilliant mix of Lancashire food & drink delights! Katie had amazing knowledge both of the local history & was passionate about each the artisans we visited. Highly recommend!

What a wonderful adventure it was to take a foodie tour of the Ribble Valley and Trough of Bowland with the fabulously informative Katy. As relative locals, we live in Ramsbottom, we have some knowledge of the area and what it has to offer but Katy really brought it to life as a food and drink mecca. From picking us up to dropping us off, Katy gently educated us about the food and drink history of the region as well as taking us to a variety of small producers to sample their wares and a bag of goodies to take home too!! Can't recommend this highly enough and will certainly be joining Katy again for one of her other adventures.
