The Waters Edge
Went along for the first time on quiz night, and it was great fun, we even came joint first. Staff are friendly and the atmosphere was good. Drinks were reasonably priced, and service prompt even though incredibly busy due to the quiz.

All 4 of us agreed the meals were delicious, well presented at a very reasonable price. Staff went out of their way to make sure we had the perfect evening. Will definitely return

Very disappointing Sunday lunch. We were told on arrival in a very abrupt way that our table was needed for 2 30pm. NOT our problem Mr Landlord, if I hadn't have had friends with me I would have told you where to put your table. The food was poor, nothing on the main or dessert plates had had any cooking at all. Every item on the plates was bought-in, pre-prepared, The beef, the yorkshires, the potatoes, the vegetables, the sweets were all bought-in, heated and put on a plate. For the price we paid I would have expected some cooking. We won't be returning and on this performance, sadly, I doubt if they will be open long.

Al fresco Sunday Lunch - really tasty home-cooked food. Decent pint. Clearly gone to a lot of effort to be able to open safely.Great to see a pub open this side of town. They've gone to great efforts and they deserve local support. Use it or lose it.Would have been 5 stars if the selection of beer was better, but I know they have to be keep things tight until things back to normal. Oh, and sorry, but 'Golden Ball' was a better name.

Just had the most amazing roast dinner, the best in town. Would definitely recommend it, very friendly landlord and landlady, beautiful pub, lovely decore, clean and tidy, nice relaxing sunday afternoon. This is what Spalding needed a nice local pub, will be back soon.
