My wife was admitted for an attempt on her life. They do nothing, no activities, nothing constructive or positive, place is filthy. All they did was drug her up and only saw a phycologist once after I made a complaint about a member of staff, Gloria, who whilst on a phone call to my wife I heard shouting at, mentally and emotionally abusing a patient. When wife gave concern about another patient who was unconscious and unresponsive on the floor, she took one look and said, she is breathing

Absolutley dreadful the so called nurse Diane withheld my depo and refused to give it to me for over 1 hour. Also staff here and incapable of caring for people. Very staff oriented and hated it each day it set my mental health backwards. Disgraceful place. I would not let a dog sleep here.

Fun, comfortable environment has lots of amenities such as a pool table and a telly. A pleasant garden to ruminate in with lots of board games and a basketball hoop! The staff are all friendly and approachable. It's a win from me, thanks again!

How can anyone say this is a good place for anyone by forcing injections and making these people into zombies , ive been looking into this place , I have 2 people that I no of who have gone in here size 8 and came out atleast a size 20 , counselling and support is what they need not injections and whispering in there ears. It's awful the way these human beings are being treated..my friend was okay before then just a teenager who messed about sometimes and tried a few things in her life. Should be ashamed of themselves

Exhibiting the same company culture as it's US parent company UHS Delaware (a fortune 500 company), prosecuted by the US federal government for fraudulently detaining patients for profit after the FBI investigated them for medicare fraud, Cygnet also has a habit of deliberately prolonging detentions beyond the period of medical necessity. In my tribunal report my junior doctor invented a psychotic relapse for which there was no evidence in my medical notes. My medical notes evidenced stability for a full year before I was discharged.Lucrative NHS public funding contracts provide a perverse incentive to detain patients for as long as possible beyond the period of medical necessity, ARBITRARY DETENTION, human rights abuse with a pretence of due process.Beyond which, cruel and unusual punishment, in normalized use of last resort chemical and physical restraint, was observable. And the way Section 17 leave was used as a tool of behavioral management was disgusting.

Was personally the worst experience. Most of the staff was really bad and not understanding how I was feeling except two female HCAs and one OT who was really good .When something major happened the management didn’t act on it until the day I got discharged which that day I was still not very well with my mental health and they still discharged me.The consultant refused to up my medication when I told him it wasn’t working. I didn’t receive any therapy as such except OT therapy’s. The menu for food wasn’t always told to me and they filled it out for me when I can’t handle certain textures and spice due to my learning disability and stomach issues. The bedroom wasn’t being cleaned regularly by the cleaner and when I arrived the sink had stains from someone else’s toiletries and didn’t drain properly.when I had a visit from friends and family they wasn’t taken down to the visitors room me and staff had to collect them from reception. Overall I would never ever recommend this hospital to anyone.

Fortunately I was kept in a general hospital for 3 and a half weeks (where the doctors and nurses were wonderful!), prior to them finding me a so called 'specialist' bed. Everyone was so excited for me. One of the Psychiatrists, my Psychologist and numerous nurses hugged me and wished me good luck in Cygnet, Woking. An ambulance brought me here...I was dumped in what seemed to be a prison cell as they decided that I had Covid. It was freezing cold - the radiator didn't work, no towels, no water to drink. Just left there....was I a criminal? No, just someone on the brink of suicide who needed love and support and hopefully therapies...Needless to say I was able to get out within 24 hours. It was St.Peter's Hospital Assessment unit that helped me to recover, not this awful place.Thankyou St.Peter's Hospital.

Absolutely hated my time here. I was here for 3 and a half months and I didn’t get a single bit better. With a few exceptions, most of the staff didn’t interact with you at all, didn’t do anything with you and I spent most of my time sitting around on my own getting worse. You felt like a nuisance if you needed to knock on the office door to ask for something. You didn’t get the attention you needed. As the ward I was on( Picasso) has two floors, it took hours just to get a member of staff to let you from one floor to another. Cygnet hospitals should just be avoided at all costs.

This is great, my daughter after having a mental breakdown, and being sectioned. Is released into a bedsit, with no notice to her nearest relatives, no support in place till after the weekend. Has to self refer anger management and other stuff. 2 days on sending her back to A&E via an ambulance, because she was not ready. No pills, no help, nadda.A blind man could have seen she wasn't ready.I've asked as well as the medical secretary, for the doc in charge to respond to my emails, over the time she was in this hospital. Not one reply! Now a family with two registered disabled for life people are having to pick up the pieces.NOT impressed!

My daughter time here was over due length by 5 months hindering long term therapy, lack of communication between staff aswell as to family letting me know after A&E visit not before, drinking cool packs banning her from the use of them only for her to be moved ward 3 days later allowed one on that ward with same outcome and another trip to A&E. Staff falling asleep on shift, incidents like being punched in the face by a staff member reported to me by my daughter not staff. Being locked in seclusion for several hours no food or drink offered. Far too many agency staff that care nothing for these patients long term goals! This hospital has alot to answer for as if the beginning of my daughter treatment was a success maybe another 18 months later she would be a little better. Some VERY good members of regulars staff and her personal physician was always reachable...honest and tentative.
