Good day out. Stayed about an hour and half walking around. Mostly outdoors but has a couple of small indoor areas. Bigger than I expected.

On arrival we were met by staff (Kate - Katie?) and as I'm in a wheelchair we were allowed to park within the front area of the hall. We were taken through the entrance and given a map of the sculptures. It was a bit hard work for my husband pushing my wheelchair over the gravel and grass paths - but we managed!! Very impressed with the layout and exhibits, thoroughly enjoyed working them out! Some very obvious others a bit obscure - I loved the Still Dancers and also Twisted, Tear Drop, Crab - all wonderful and no doubt interpreted in different ways!! The setting of Thirsk Hall as the backdrop was great - and we loved being able to just meander around - a perfect afternoon out!! We had a lovely chat with Kate (Katie) who met us as we finished and we talked about the exhibition and what prompted them to do this open air display and also future plans, and we'll certainly be back when new exhibits come in. A definite hidden gem, but a lovely experience and my thanks to all the staff for making our visit a great, friendly experience. Many thanks.

Go quite often. Always something interesting to look at. Garden looks beautiful without being over formal. Can only see this attraction getting better. If you are unable to walk far its all on a level and easy access for prams and wheelchairs. Dogs welcome on leads.

What a find. This oasis is a real therapy for the trials and tribulations of modern life. As a venue it aims to be a cathartic experience rather than a mercantile exchange. Please visit and see for yourself.

I had an absolutely lovely time recently at the flower sale the Hall hosted. The gardens and sculpture park are just stunning and so lovingly kept.

We came with visitors and had a really lovely time. The outdoor sculptures work well in the mix of laid out gardens and open landscape and the two indoor displays were well set out. I was impressed with the quality of exhibits - we will definitely be back!

Thirsk's best kept secret? Had a lovely walk around the gardens, admiring both the sculptures and the gardens themselves.
