If anyone is reading this, we picked up a van in London just this afternoon and now have a flat tire on the M42. I’m on the hard shoulder with my six year old and dog and no one is answering the emergency support line. 24 hours? It’s 6:30pm on a Saturday and we’ve been trying for half an hour??? HELP US PLEASE my little one doesn’t understand and is terrified. So are we right now. Just answe the damn phone - PLEASEUPDATE: After 2 Hours of not getting through to anyone at the emergency contact number or the local london contact number we finally made contact. By that time we had already rung around local towing firms and found a rescue service ourselves. Indi Campers response was: “we are sorry for your situation, we were very busy. We will re-fund you and send someone over in the morning to fix the van”. Again after constant phone calls from us the next day they eventually answered and got someone to us for the afternoon to fix it. I would NEVER recommend this company due to the service/support which is limited at best and comes from overseas. If you have to use these vans, I would suggest you take out RAC or AA cover / your own local road side assistance cover. INDIE CAMPERS: do yourselves a favour and tell people that it is NOT a 24/7 support actually and look at your support model for that support. There has to be a better way so that families are not left stranded fending for themselves on the side of a motorway for hours. I should have listened to the Google reviews! More fool me.

Do not use this business. They will not communicate in a timely manner and they ruined my holiday plans. It took me weeks to get to the bottom of the problem, it’s Indie Campers - if Angelo responds forget any sense of organisation or idea of what’s going on with bookings. After I cancelled which was a nightmare to do they now only want to refund 50% Only idiots will book with this useless business.Update: sent in response requesting me to furnish copies of my communication with them sent to Indie Support. This is what you are in for.“This is unbelievable. Indie is asking me to furnish them with emails that I have sent to them in the past. What a nightmare to be searching threads and dealing with this while I am on my vacation when you have all this information.Attached message, once again as requested, with dates that you can confirm within the Indie Support Inbox:04/05/23 where I responded to a request from Indie to finish further information about my passport, drivers licence and address. This was never entered onto my dashboard and still remains missing.19/06/23 I sent an email in a response to an earlier email where I was unable to access my booking on the dashboard. Communication was not followed though by Indie. I could not establish a confirmation of details critical to the booking. Nothing at all, my dashboard was blank. By this time I had given up checking spam folders for emails from Indie.02/08/23 an email finally, which I did not find until 4 days later 06/08/23, confirming all the details I had requested in June and my subsequent immediate reply to request for the cancellation of the booking. I was flying out of Sydney on the 08/08/23 to London, seriously how was I expected to have faith in booking that I couldn’t establish until 6 days before my departure on a 50 day trip, what did Indie think I was going to do? Hang with uncertainty with no communication and no idea of what plan would be solid for my vacation. No response from Indie except to send me a form that was intended for prospective owners to rent vehicles through Indie as a point of enquiry and totally irrelevant to the issue I had been trying to discuss.I apologise to Matt as I was genuine about my intent on making the booking but as I explained to him I was not able to reach out to him again until after the booking became live on my dashboard, I guess at the time of the confirmation email being sent 02/08/23. I had checked it a number of time but the page remained static with no information. If anything Indie should reimburse Matt for this mess as it clearly rests within the incompetence we have both encountered.This has been the most unpleasant and frustrating experience. As can be seen I undertook my side by responding to Indie emails in a timely manner yet the responses from Indie where I really needed support was absent nor have you handled my details with care. I do not know how you would expect any reasonable person to do anything else. “

I was sent by this company to a private motor home renter, they then told me it’s not there responsibility to deal with the issues belowDO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.I wish I had read the other reviews! There seems to be a pattern!We drove for three hours to arrive at a site and had to leave 23 hours later as the campervan driver’s window got stuck down and we were unable to close it. When we arrived the TV would not work and I called and told him, which incidentally he double charged us for. We booked through Indie Campers and was supposed to have included in our package a TV and Kitchen pack. William took another £10 off us for the TV on top of the £462 we had already paid, and there was NO kitchen pack, we also had to go and buy cups, plates, spoons and a kettle as he provided us with nothing. We paid for the camp site for 3 days and had to leave after one, due to the malfunction in the camper van. At no point did he even apologise for the problems with his campervan. We had to drive on the motorway for 3 hours with the window wide open. All in all, we have spent at least £520 for one day in his old camper van and he feels he should refund us £40. Indie campers are running a platform where they are allowing their hosts like William to con people out of Money. I should have known when we meet him in a carpark of a burnt down pub that it was going to be a disaster. How he can justify a cleaning bill of £80 I will never know as when we moved the seats there was mould underneath! He also sent texts saying stop texting for your deposit back as you are causing more delays, as he felt he could hold on to your 1K and blackmail you not to contact him! Use a reputable company to hire a decent campervan like Justgo, I wish I had.

Awful company. First the van they rented us the roof was broken, staff members said this was fine and nothing they could do and to just get on with it. We said this was not good enough and they found another van. The van they gave us the water was not working correctly so no water throughout the trip. On the trip a car drove into us when parked and scraped the car. We contacted the on trip services team, who were not helpful. Took hours to get a response and the telephone number given just said to email. Once returning the van to the depot the van was checked and the damage looked at. This was agreed we would pay the €199 excess as per the premium policy. This was communicated verbally and by email. Two days late I billed €1600 for an additional damage. Even though this was photographed on the drop off date. I have been told this is below the door line even though when reporting the damage I was told via what’s app this was not and was sent a diagram of the door line on a template van. I have contacted indie campers since and they are saying this is in the terms and conditions. No where on there website does it state where on the van the door lines are. The van was checked at checkout so staff must not be competent to check vans if damage was missed.Do not use this company or the Venice depot. Staff have no idea what they are doing and are not checking in and out vans properly, no check lots are used they just take pictures on smartphones and lie to you. Still disputing over email. But a bad end to our holiday.

3)another 2 weeks later: still no reply from Indiecampers. That gives you the feeling that they don't take the problem seriously. I still do not recommend Indie Campers!!2)As you advised me in the message below, I (finally) received an answer via the chat.Indie sends me a photo of the damage we didn't make and the Van in the photo is not the Van we rented.After I came up with concrete evidence, I have not received any contact from Indie for more than 10 days.Today I still do not recommend Indie campers! The after-sales service is far from optimal. Getting in touch and receiving an answer is very difficult.1)I do not under any circumstances recommend this company to you!!!!A month after we returned the motorhome, we received a damage report of which we did not make the damage. On the day of return, we signed a report that there was no further damage than what was already there.I emailed the company twice to contest, but never received a response. Of course they have written off the 201€96.

Although off airport, it is quite easy to get there from Heathrow's terminal 4, being a short taxi ride away.Daniel at the Indie Campers Pick Up Centre is very helpful and guided us through our booking, explained and showed us what to do and how to operate the camper we'd hired.He recoreded the milage and any previous damage to the van before handing over the keys.He was just as helpful on our return and checked everything over to make sure all was well.PS As an aside to the Indy Campers Company:Our hire was in the autumn when evenings were getting cooler and only a thin, summer duvet was supplied - as an extra - and it wasn't really suitable for the cooler nights.We know there is a heating system in the van but it can use up the gas if not careful.If possible please ensure duvets supplied are suitable for the seasons of hire.Thank you.

I've been use this company for 5 days. They cost me 1200 pound . One side of the driver mirror broke 122 pounds from my deposit. Plus I pay 127 pound for prime. Which is I pay deposit 427 pounds because of that. When you calling assistant for help for any breakdown Not helping . Bad experience in five days and a charge me massive money and not helping no good customer service.

We highly recommend Indie campers in a heartbeat. Initially we had second thoughts after reading the reviews on google. But we wanted to give it shot. It didn't fail us at all. The whole process was just easy and the lovely lady explained us about the vehicle and how to use the features. once you know the vehicle and how to use the systems. It will be just a breeze. We enjoyed our road trip to Scotland with 2 kids. Campervan itself very straightforward with settings, water, heating & wastage disposal. We would highly recommend them. Don't go buy the reviews. Heathrow office has lovely staff specially the lady who helped us. They are very helpful.

We had a great time traveling the UK with our nomad pop top unit for 9 days. Indie Campers team did a great job at briefing us when we picked up the van. The van was in perfect condition, well taken care and altogether made our journey smooth. We would definitely rent again from Indie Campers and recommend to our friends.
