Muscle Maintenance by Alison Stroudley

I had suffered with Plantar fasciitis for over 12 months when I started treatment with Alison. I had tried exercises found online and stretches but nothing seemed to improve my injury. Needless to say I was a little pessimistic about how successful my treatment would be, but I felt I had nothing to lose. I found Alison’s assessment to be very detailed and thorough which put me at ease. Over a series of treatments and exercises for me to do at home I noticed a great improvement and with increased mobility and a reduction in pain I started to run again. Alison’s meticulous and professional approach has had a dramatic result. I am now pain free, which I never imagined. What I really liked is Alison’s flexible approach – each week she had new ideas and techniques which were clearly explained to me. I now have regular maintenance massages to avoid any further complications as I continue to develop my running. Thank you Alison!!!

I recently got to enjoy a massage with Alison and it was amongst the best massages that I have ever had. She really listened to what I wanted/areas of concern and then added her own expertise as she went through to work on areas which needed more attention. I left feeling amazing :-) The salon itself was lovely and spotlessly clean. Hoping to be able to come back again soon!

Alison worked on my frozen shoulder. Along with great massages and exercises she suggested, my shoulder was back to normal in record time. I can highly recommend Alison if you have any problems or if you just want a great massage!

It has been some time since my first treatment with Alison, and I have to say I will definitely be back when I am next in Bude surfing (hopefully not too long). As a trained clinical sports massage therapist and having studied physiotherapy it is really hard to find someone who is simultaneously able to discuss my ailments on a technical level whilst also being intuitive with their understanding of a person's needs as a whole. We sat for some time and discussed the complex nature of my past year and my physical representations. Alison suggested focusing on relaxation and relieving the symptoms of specific troubles in my body. Her treatment was informed and intuitive, with a skilled depth of touch and open feedback to tailor it as she went. All things I hope for in a massage treatment.
